Welcome to Thread 5 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

Candidates for murder in Episode 6: Ellie, Faraaz, Jade, Matthew, Reece and Sam (Amanda was also a potential but was banished beforehand and Fiona and Stephen cannot be murdered).

As for Amanda one of the basic tenets of investigating is to have a number of hypotheses.
Only having one as she did with Jade means you are blind to all evidence apart from that which supports your hypothesis.
Just because she was a ‘senior’ detective doesn’t mean she is a good one.

Last night was insane. Amanda omg, The Met.....

(Shudders. Doesn't that mean they are deliberately promoted on the basis of being tone deaf and completely blind to the glaringly obvious?)

Well last night waa fun!! It's now got interesting after the dullness of the traitors' focus being on the ST and then only thing being discussed was this obsessive connections nonsense!! I want more traitor tactical thinking (even when it doesn't play out!).

Fiona mentioned she didn't like how Rachel wasn't a team player and had been discussing Stephen being a traitor with others. (Though I agree, her throw back on Rachel come across as jealously Amanda didn't tell her the detective secret.) I'm hoping Fiona says she did it because Rachel was turing on Stephen - and he'll realise that Fiona is totally out for herself and will do anything to win.)

Then my dream scenario:

• Rachel banished. Murder happen.
• Fiona banished. Jessie recruited as a traitor by Stephen. Murder happen.
• Stephen banished. Harriet recruited as a traitor.
• other contestants finally get more airtime and we see who they are

I think we can removed Reece out of the Interchangeable now. My guide for them is:

• Matthew: He dresses like an 80s priest in training (tucked in jumper, sensible haircut). Has an Irish accent.

• James: Looks like David Tennet. Behaves like an over excited child (squats down then jumps up a lot, bounces when he talks, talks loudly).

• Jack: Has several earrings. Wears glasses.

• Adam: Has an Essex "proper geezer" accent. Makes you think "Who's that?" when the camera is on him and he's not speaking.

Exactly how I feel.

Disliked her hammy 'confused little woman' act from day 1, and her hypocrisy. Also annoyed she kept putting Maz up for murder when she was the ST.

She delights in stirring the pot, she's been so two-faced with Reece. Her 'private chat' with Rachel (when she doesn't like private chats) and comments after took arrogance to a new level.

Glad Rachel called her out on it publicly, which she won't have been expecting, but will likely mean they both go.

I'm strongly Team Jessie.

I don’t think Fiona will survive. She’s erratic and impulsive

It was basically “she looked weird when the blindfolds came off” 🤔 and beyond that I cannot recall anything !!

Last night's episode was bananas. We were late watching and I was going to call it after the round table. Good job we didn't!

I haven't liked Fiona since she was revealed. So smug and full of ego. Last night just cemented it further. She is a nasty piece of work. It's not strategic and ruthless gameplay which I could respect; it's just nastiness fed by ego.

I feel bad for Rachel who has had her game blown up by this but, to be honest, she should know better than to make big proclamations and announcements. It just draws attention and that's never a good thing.

Amanda is funny. Another one full of ego that's been brought down a few pegs. I am cringing for her.

After Maz's insightful remarks on uncloaked I think there's more to Fiona's bus-throwing than mere jealousy that she wasn't the one confided in. Fiona thinks of herself as part of the police, because of her husband and brother, she thinks it makes her superior. That's why Maz appeared twice on her list of nominated murder victims: she knew he was in the police too and therefore she perceived him as a threat.

So when Rachel disclosed Amanda's "secret professional identity" Fiona was very very angry. In her head she is herself the "police officer", so her jealousy has more levels. I also think she's too thick to understand Rachel's intention to put more credence onto Amanda's suspicions while everyone was feeling guilty about banishing a faithful, and thereby deflect from the real traitors. Fiona has instead pulled that suspicion back onto the actual traitors. She's a thick jackal in sheep's clothing, Wily Coyote!

I've heard a theory that Jessie and Jade are a couple. If so they are playing it really well.

It will be interesting to see how everyone reacts to last night's shenanigans when we see them as a group next.
If I had been witness to that, there is no way in hell I would be persuaded that it was anything other than a full on traitor v traitor declaration of war spat.

I can’t believe Fiona did that! I hope she goes; although she’s very “entertaining” she’s a PITA

I think Fiina and Rachel will tear each other apart while Stephen looks on, bemused, as the heat is taken off him.

Having read the Jessie+Jack on here, I noticed how last night when Claudia was explaining the mission that Jack had his hand on Jessie’s shoulder when no one else was that close. But then it showed a few more shots of blokes with their hands on shorter women’s shoulders so who knows!

Also Team AnyoneButFiona now.

It will be interesting to see if Jade changes at all now she and Amanda aren’t constantly sniping at each other. I think that was just a simple personality clash to be honest.

I also hope the Fiona / Rachel thing is resolved tonight as although it’s entertaining, it’s going to get old quite fast (I won’t put spoilers, but something similar happened in terms of traitors falling out on one of the international series and it just went on too long to be interesting)

I mentioned he looked like ex-Ross from the start.

I think it was arrogance, she was so confident that she would win the game.

Someone on the previous thread said they thought Reece was a nice softie. Hmmm ... I don't buy it. He's been quite rude to Jack at the round table and he seems to burst into tears too easily. And I have doubts about what kind of sweet shop assistant he really is .

I vote for Fiona to be banished next. I think she's a dafty.

The reason I think the ex coppers weren't chosen as traitors is to allow them to showcase how crap they really are at working out who the baddies are . Just as well they're all retired....

I’m loving the Midsomer Murders/Murder she wrote/Hallmark village analogies. Reminds me of the film, Hot Fuzz, where all isn’t as it seems… .

Also the interchangeable descriptions. Matthew - James with nice jumpers - spot on!

Agree it was probably a personality clash but was uncomfortable to watch at times. Jade even said Amanda reminded her of a head mistress so I expected Amanda to calm now.

I think Jade has a boyfriend!

That's very damning evidence and a clear sign of a talented detective!😂

Surely Fiona is in breach of the traitor oath?
