Welcome to Thread 5 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

Candidates for murder in Episode 6: Ellie, Faraaz, Jade, Matthew, Reece and Sam (Amanda was also a potential but was banished beforehand and Fiona and Stephen cannot be murdered).

Her son told her she needed another phone for social media. She went into a shop and asked for a burner phone. The guy went out the back to get one and 2 policemen appeared and asked her why she wanted a burner phone. Pure nonsense.

So looks like the suggestion Fiona and Reece were related can be binned now!

No idea why Jessie has been so obsessed about Ross...or why she seemed to be throwing herself around tonight.
Jade looked miserable all the time tonight.
Stephen must be under suspicion after his sobbing.

She’s still working then. I understand former police officers may get good pensions, so she may be under state retirement age or whenever local government pensions kick in.

Matthew wanted to spend the prize fund on having a gay wedding so presumably not!

There are always some questions which are a little harsh. Sometimes they cause an unravelling - remember Brian, the most sheeplike.

Did "the fairest" mean most beautiful or most fair-minded? I think Jade is most beautiful.

Agree that Fiona is so fake and a liar. I can just imagine her bullying people at her local authority and then crying 🙄🙄

she lied at the roundtable that she didn’t say that Amanda should’ve told her instead of Rachel

she lied when she said ‘oh I could’nt put Rachel’s name down because I respect her’ when it was so clearly because she wanted to sway the vote against Sam

she was super false with Reece, despite having murdered him

she insulted her son for being a teacher, as I understand it? Saying that’s why she banished Nettie. No doubt that sons on mumsnet, talking about how he’s the family scapegoat!

it’s also questionable how many of her murders are of minorities.

She was never a police officer. She claimed her husband and other family members were, but not clear if that was true.

That’s true! I did laugh when Roxy tried to nominate herself as most likeable!

I took it to be most beautiful as in Snow White and yes would have picked Jade - or Ellie/Harriet

Perhaps this was the line she took when she applied, and the producers thought it would be good TV, or widen diversity. The BBC, who buys the programme, has been criticised for having fewer older women presenters than older male ones, I understand.

I agree about it being a mask/disguise/persona of sorts. A few years ago my daughter and I arrived at Manchester Piccadilly and didn’t realise at first but walked right into the filming of The Piano. We stopped to listen to the amazing young pianist, and my daughter nudged me and said how gorgeous the coat that the woman directly in front of us was wearing was. When the music stopped the woman turned and it was Claudia Winkleman. The makeup was perfect but definitely not what anyone would wear normally. You could see she is a very beautiful woman though.

I’m thinking about the questions I’d ask the traitors.

The obvious one, particularly if I had suspicions already (as Harriet does) would be “who are you” - it would be interesting to see who they put down.

Yes, her husband gets the police pension and she will get the local government one, so a reasonable household income. Unless they don’t share finances. Or he isn’t ex-police.
