Please let them murder an Interchangeable!

It would be funny if the accidentally murdered the wrong Interchangeable because they can't tell them apart either.

That was nuts.
Amanda played the game really badly. Talking about wanting to "help" everyone else was so patronising and baseless. She had no greater insight than anyone else but obviously thought she did!.
And as for passing on her thoughts to Rachel as if she was the oracle, well that was just arrogance.
Rachel handled that whole thing really badly and just drew attention to herself unnecessarily. And then Fiona! Who had the reaction of a jealous 9 year old who is desperate to claim to be Amanda's "BFF". She's 62 FFS!
She could have subtly undermined Rachel and played a blinder, but she had hissy fit in the playground instead! All 3 traitors can go as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, that whole "I'm helping you" thing really grated on me - no, if you're a faithful you're part of a team all helping each other route out traitors. It came across as really patronising and tbh I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did.
And telling Rachel about being a detective was bonkers when she had literally no theories or real evidence. Good job she's retired because she made herself look a bit crap at detective work! Still, it's what we've come to expect from The Met I suppose..

Louielove · 08/01/2026 22:48

Yes Amanda patronising with the “I here to help you” as if she’s superior

I've got Sam and Reece pegged now due to air time, and Jack because I've decided he looks a bit like a squashed Rory McIlroy auditioning for pirates of the Caribbean, but the rest, and I've even lost track of how many there are, all look the same.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/01/2026 22:49

Reece got a shield from the Chest of Chance Grin - is that going to shield him from murder?

It does seem to be Traitors who do big performative actions, now I think about it. Like announce Amanda's secret to everyone, or accuse Rachel in front of everyone. There was a Traitor twit in the Aussie version, I think it was, who suddenly decided to make up a story about the Traitors trying to recruit him and him refusing and hit everyone with it over breakfast. Absolutely no reason for it, he was just getting off on having carte blanche to lie to everyone. He was beaming while he did it and the other Traitors were horrified. Banished quickly after that.

A lot of traitors have said in post match analysis just how stressful they found it to maintain the lie when with the other players all day, every day. That makes a lot of sense to me.

It also doesn’t surprise me that so many people with backgrounds which should help them find they get it wrong and the strategies don’t work - its such an abnormal and hyped up environment to be living in for the weeks of the contest.

Amanda's work ID photo 🤣🤣

Haven't seen Uncloaked yet and will have to watch tomorrow.

How many times did Amanda refer to being a detective?

ZappyDays · 08/01/2026 22:50

mumofoneAloneandwell · 08/01/2026 21:57

When the traitors attempt to recruit, can the faithful say no, or is it always ‘accept or be murdered’ ??

Sometimes they have let the faithful say no but I think it depends how desperately the producers need there to be a recruitment, if there’s only one traitor left for example then they will say it’s either be a traitor or get murdered.

Ooh, good point, that wasn't made explicit was it? Or maybe i missed it. I think it should do.

Delphiniumandlupins · 08/01/2026 22:52

I felt very sorry for both Reece and Amanda, having to do a final plea to be saved, when neither thought the other was a Traitor.

I was listening hard and Claudia definitely said twice "Save from banishment"

Pusstachio · 08/01/2026 22:53

They are disclosing relationships when people leave though- Judy as Roxy’s mum when she was out and Ross as Ellie’s partner on his banishment so Amanda can’t be Reese’s mum surely? Plus Netty/Hugo also had no disclosure bit

SleepQuest33 · 08/01/2026 22:54

Well Fiona is an odious little lady. Thanks to her this series will have to end in a week as ALL the traitors will be ousted!

Rachel’s plan to use the info Amanda the “detective” gave her was really clever. It would have kept all eyes off the traitors.

Walkerzoo · 08/01/2026 22:54

Just found this thread. Loving it.

Pusstachio · 08/01/2026 22:55

Loved Maz sniggering as the presumably more senior detective realised she’d detected absolutely fuck all 😅

cloudtreecarpet · 08/01/2026 22:55

I'm not surprised Reece got so much heat on him because he came across as confident at the start then started self sabotaging.
We as the viewers knew it was because he was genuinely feeling like it was game over but it must have looked very suspicious.

Fiona would definitely be the person in a village who bakes cakes for everyone, does the church flowers and is busy writing objections to planning applications behind their backs.

I don’t think Maz was a detective - I’m sure I remember him talking about his day to day role and it sounded much more public facing/uniform branch.

ChinFluff46 · 08/01/2026 22:57

Reece tomorrow:

'Reece, who would you like to murder?'

Reece: 'Reece'

🤣

Bless him.

Delphiniumandlupins · 08/01/2026 22:57

I agree Mark was right on Uncloaked that Fiona and Rachel need to work out how to act tomorrow. Perhaps they will just avoid each other, but that will look suspicious too.

Neither of them play well with others. Rachel did have a good idea but could have ageeed a plan with her trainer colleagues on whom to target, not just seized power. Fiona also could have left the chat there and spoken to her privately later.

Even more embarrassing for Amanda, as he came over as much more astute than she did on Uncloaked.

Nine beasts set on fire, nine people whose shields were destroyed so can be murdered. Amanda's gone. Fiona and Stephen are safe. That leaves six: Sam, Reece, Jade, Ellie, Faraaz, Matthew?

I fear for Faraaz. No one’s voted for him or mentioned his name.

I think Matthew’s the same. But I’ve warmed less to him. However, he’s hardly been in the edit, which suggests to me he may be in it for longer. People who leave sooner get more airtime in early episodes.

The other four all got roundtable votes.

And writes poison pen letters with the dodgy typewriter from the Church Hall

How many times did Amanda refer to being a detective?

it was infuriating because she said that she only picked Jade because she was the first person she saw when she took her eye mask off.

then why did she keep focusing on her and insisting that Rachel tells everyone about her being a detective and wanting to help the faithful?
