I think it's quite a good idea. People forget bricks are clay.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:18

That’s a very physical task!

AlicePottery · 11/01/2026 20:23

I meant horrible as in physically tough

I wonder why Caz did so poorly on the brick challenge. I like her so I hope she can save the day with her bookends.

Saucery · 11/01/2026 20:31

Oh dear, I don’t think Naveed has thought that through.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:35

I’m liking Bill’s dog book ends.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:36

And Elham has a fabulous selection of head scarves.

AlicePottery · 11/01/2026 20:37

At this point I like Fynn's best and Naveed's least. Difficult to tell until the final firing, some of those greens and browns might be too dark.

Naveed’s don’t seem that great. I’m liking the wild man - but too soon to call it until the final firing.

Saucery · 11/01/2026 20:40

Bill and Elham for me.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:41

Kayleigh’s is fab.

ETA - love the flying fish!

TheExtraGuineaPig · 11/01/2026 20:42

I love Kayleigh's and I love Orford

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:46

Fynn’s decoration is impressive.

But so far - they’ve all done really well.

Saucery · 11/01/2026 20:47

Ooooh, Mark’s!! Right up my street, I’d pay a good amount for those. ❤️❤️

AlicePottery · 11/01/2026 20:49

Kez to go then.

I like Bill's and Whitney's best. Also like the pagan one (can't remember his name). Not a fan of Emily or Angarhad's. Caz's were a bit bleh on the shelf.

I think the inside of the avocadoes is great but the exterior didn't look quite right.

ItWasnaMeGuv · 11/01/2026 20:52

Kayleigh - love it, such movement and so tactile.
Bill - quite small, but cute.
Elham - wow! these are fabulous. Striking.
Andrew - Another great effort. Looks great.
Witney - another one I really like. Who cares that it doesn't tell a story.
Angharad - great movement, such a pity about the figure's limb missing.
Fynn - oh this one is my favourite so far, I want them!
Kaz - Beautiful! The trunk of the tree is so realistic. I don't care that they are wonky.
Mark - Another lovely set. I am so happy that this week there are no disasters. The standard is really high.
Emily - so unique. Emily is better than she thinks.
Naveed - I do like avocados and this set is small but very simple but effective.

Going home - I don't know.
Potter of the week - Fynn perhaps. The standard is so high this week.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:52

Naveed’s avocado is so realistic - and the two halves fit together!

His only mistake is missing off the inevitable brown bits because the ‘ripe and ready to eat’ label is always wrong.

SwedishEdith · 11/01/2026 20:53

Think the avocado 🥑 would be the most commercial, with some refinements. Didn't like the dark gloomy one.

EnterQueene · 11/01/2026 20:53

I loved the wild man with the flying fish - but they were all great. Such a talented group this year. I also love the pagan face on a book - really stunning.

ArtTheClownIsNotAMime · 11/01/2026 20:54

I like the decoration of the wild man but not the shape. Too blocky for my taste.

AlwaysRightISwear · 11/01/2026 20:54

I loved the doggies.

the avocado sticks out in the centre.

ArtTheClownIsNotAMime · 11/01/2026 20:55

It'll have to be Kaz to go I think.

SabrinaThwaite · 11/01/2026 20:56

Love Kaz! So positive.
