I found this by chance on Monday and binged Series 1 on Monday pm and a bit of Tuesday and so far have watched 2 episodes of series 2 - I really like it

Re the new DI - I didn't like the character but I'm warming to her - I'm wondering why she's transferred ? As they haven't introduced a partner/much of a backstory so far I'm wondering if she has had harassment or falling out with her previous job ?

Just binge watched season 2 of Patience, completely into this.
Not sure if lead actress has autism but she plays the part so well. I wasn’t sure if I’d like new DI but she’s warming up.
well worth a watch if you’ve not caught this and previous series. Warm engaging and good storylines, plus York is beautiful.

Have binged all S2 and really enjoyed it. The last one is very good

Very late to the party, but C4 player were promoting this when I was rewatching bits of Pottery Throwdown. What a fab programme.

I’m only on S2 Ep3, but plan to got to series 1 (have some long train journeys next week). Is it worth me starting at the beginning ASAP or shall I continue with S2 first?

Where is/was the French version?

@Madcats I don’t know if it still is there but the French one which is the original will be on All4 called Astrid: Murder in Paris

For me, I would have preferred this season of Patience to be more original with their stories. I understood with the first season because it was new to be more like Astrid but even this season is as well with the storylines like yesterday and with the organ. I’ve read the blurb about todays one and don’t remember it so hopefully it’ll be original lol

S1 you learn about Patience and think it’s good to know the background

I must be a lone voice because I much prefer Astrid in Paris ( maybe coz I saw them first).

With Astrid you get to see much more of the workings of her mind and how she comes to her conclusions where as with Patience it just sorts of pops into her head (seemingly).

In Astrid you get to see the workings of the records bureau which I like.

I'm also a bit non plussed about why they are following the same story lines. I don't think that the UK versions are as well executed as the French ones. The actors I love in both series.

@snowibunni I feel the same, I thought I was the only one. I wrote earlier that I wished that we had more original stories now we have a new season because I can remember quite a bit from the stories in Astrid

Found it on my Ch4 player app (I really should pay more attention to Walter Presents).

Just made DH watch S1 Ep1…that might sort our Friday/Saturday void.
