I’ve loved him since brothers and sisters.

Ive just watch the first episode and I don’t know whether to clean the kitchen first or just watch the second one. I don’t know how many have dropped but it is so good. She is her usual worried manic sell and he is a very good baddie.

i hope sone of you will agree with me

They met a match in each other - CD needed MR as much as MR needed her. It was a great psychological thriller.

SauvignonBlanche · 22/11/2025 17:39

I’ve just finished episode 3, someone said there was a very violent scene in episode 4 so I’ll leave that until daylight tomorrow.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2025 19:09

It is very good, only seen one episode but I am hooked.

Love CD, I can see why she is marmite though. Does she ugly cry in this? She was excellent in Fleishman is in trouble, saw that recently. I'd love to see her play a more earthy chilled out character just to see her range. I imagine she is superb no matter what she does.

She ugly cries in literally everything she has ever done, going all the way back to Romeo and Juliet and probably My Simple Life.
It's what makes her relatable in my opinion .

I was getting this Clare mixed up with Claire Foy for some weird reason! I don’t think I’ve seen Danes in anything before!

IcedPurple · 22/11/2025 21:56

Just finished this. Definitely a step up from the run of the mill 'thrillers' churned out by NF. Great acting, especially from Danes and Rhys, and left me intrigued right until the end.

the80sweregreat · 22/11/2025 21:57

Rhys is so menacing in this.

Am I the only person in the universe who didn't like it?

I didn't think it awash s good as others have. What did you dislike about it?

I watched the first episode and really did not enjoy it, the storyline didn't really interest me.

Just watched her in The Family Stone !

I haven't either. Good to discover that I'm not the only person in the world who has never watched 'Homeland'.

GenerousGardener · 22/11/2025 22:41

Lost interest around episode four. DH has stuck with it though. I actually couldnt care less about any of the characters.

JMSA · 23/11/2025 02:05

This didn’t grab me at all. I kept falling asleep.
I couldn’t decide if it was real or some kind of spoof, with all the exaggerated acting.

Really? I didn’t see that at all, and I’m a great lover of thrillers.

Lots would have seen her in Romeo and Juliet because of Leonardo DiCaprio though. She's great in Stardust and her English accent is superb. She's been in loads of stuff but her name manages to be unmemorable for some reason.

Pryceosh1987 · 23/11/2025 02:25

A clean kitchen is most important cleaning. Even more important than the bathroom.

the80sweregreat · 23/11/2025 02:45

Never watched Homeland. Was aware of it, but like The sopranos and west wing and Mad men , I’ve never watched any of them.

Me! It had potential but god! CD was so irritating I found myself rooting for the killer. And the violence was gratuitous- especially the

<spoiler alert>

murder of his first wife.

I'd checked out by then - it was at least 2 episodes too long - and I was reading in the same room as DH who persevered to the end.

sequinpanties · 23/11/2025 10:29

So many idiotic things happening and as for the anguished looks on Aggie's face all of the time 😂 but he played a great baddie !

BigDogJR · 23/11/2025 11:18

Agree I found the violence too much, particularly in the art gallery.

I thought the ending was a bit meh. One thing that confused me was the bloody bandages in Abbott’s apartment. Were they planted? Otherwise how did they get there?

He was bitten by the guard dog.

MinnieCauldwell · 23/11/2025 15:21

The lighting was good, CD looked quite stark and MRs eyes seemed to actually to glint menacingly...

HauntedBungalow · 23/11/2025 15:40

There were only two bits where you actually saw any violence - the art gallery and the dog bite. The dog bite was the only close-up violent scene.

BigDogJR · 23/11/2025 17:34

Reddog1 · 23/11/2025 14:57

He was bitten by the guard dog.

Thank you! I’d forgotten that bit.
