The trailer for the second series of The Night Manager has been released.

The first episode is set to air on 1 January 2026!

Anyone else can't wait for this? All the talk over the years about a second series and it's almost here!

And Series 3 has been given the greenlight, too.

Hugh Laurie is involved in producing season 2 so he's definitely around to lie on a slab, covered in hair, pretending to be dead.

AI says he's not wearing a wig. He absolutely is. Just trying to find it again on insta. The wig maker documents it all. Really interesting stuff.

Hi we haven't watched it yet I do have a question, we have completely forgotten the first series do they "recap" or will we need to re watch series to catch up ?

Thank you. I do remember enjoying it but my mind is blank will jump in and just watch it.

Honestly felt it was like a higher budget version of Spooks.

Thinking back to the first series, what I remember was Hugh Laurie, Elizabeth Debicki and her amazing wardrobe, and the incredibly cool seaside restaurant.

Really feeling the lack of a character and actor as good as Hugh Laurie. And Elizabeth Debicki and her stylist.

Series one derail sorry - I've started watching the previous series to get a bit of background and am trying to get past Hugh Laurie being baddie Roper, I keep expecting an ''I say, Blackadder!' I'm only on ep 2 though so maybe his villain side becomes more dastardly.

Coleman's 'aye up' accent is so distracting but the scenery is very magnificent, the outfits and hotels beautiful. I left series 1 ep 2 with Pine peering though a peep hole as Danny is abducted. I'm suitably gripped despite the miscasting and bad accents to see if he saves the day.

I watched series one over Christmas and whilst I loved the rewatch it is showing up the cracks even more in series two.
I definitely miss the glamour of the lifestyle and locations (especially before the story got dark and gritty).

Good sleuthing with the wigs. I hated the long hairstyle and can't put my finger on why; he definitely looks like someone I viscerally disliked but can't remember.

I don't know if this is just me projecting, but I think the fact that Tom Hiddleston is so much more famous this time round than he was in the first series really alters the dynamic. Maybe things will develop, but at the moment it feels a bit like the Tom show. I still enjoyed it and will keep watching though.

Sorry I thought because 1 and 2 were both released on iplayer on the 1st that they were on consecutive nights.

Oh I know, they got him absolutely bolloxed. Perhaps the sudden water dip sobered him up a little. In the books espionage are trained to give the cover story first and keep the truth hidden.

The older you get though the more inherent risks you see around drugs! To include alcohol.
