They're really laying it on thick with the Alan love, it's getting annoying.

CarefulN0w · 06/11/2025 22:55

The Faithful never saw him coming.

Alan is one of the few people who came across exactly the same on Uncloaked as he did in the castle

TakeMeToAnIgloo · 06/11/2025 22:59

Interesting watching the body language of the rest, and who seem to be good friends now - Charlotte and Celia, etc.

CaveMum · 06/11/2025 23:01

Placemarking. I’ll be back tomorrow after I’ve listened to Richard and Marina.

Yes I love that.

And doesn't Celia look terrific? She has such an impish face

PaisleyGilmourStreet · 06/11/2025 23:13

I absolutely bloody loved that. Take a bow, Mr Alan Carr 👏🖤

David seems to have no self awareness. Even when Ed called him out a bit for being wrong all the time, he immediately started proselytising again. It’s not that he was wrong, they all were, it was the endless gravitas he attached to his round table opinions, and his professorial tone.

i preferred Joe’s response in the end. It was realer.

Daisymay8 · 06/11/2025 23:20

I love Joes eyes. So clear then twinkly when he smiles.

Finto1111 · 06/11/2025 23:20

Who are David and Nick anyway outside of traitors?. I didn't know them

Is that his tone, or just because it sounds professorial in that beautiful golden voice?

Joe's wife is called Daisy. Are you his wife haha

flossie72 · 06/11/2025 23:21

I was really disappointed with the final 5 and hoped to see some of the bigger characters (Joe W, Charlotte, Stephen and Paloma) go further. Joe M was great and he was robbed at the end. I’m still not sure how Alan pulled it off, he was Linda level useless in the beginning. But I suppose the quirks of his personality meant he could get away with the blatant giggling and forgetfulness.

@gingercar re you comment about Cat - I was typing this out as the thread filled.

Yes I agree and I think Cat played a great game. She kept herself a bit in the background and that was a smart move but was the one Jonathan listened to the most in the tower. The traitors worked well together which is why they were so successful.

Alan deserved the win if only in terms of contribution to the overall series and entertainment value. Nick also played well adding a lot to the prize pot - he was the most consistent in the money games and was a lot better at spotting than the others gave him credit for. The problem was he doubted himself a lot - he doesn’t have that arrogant self assurance of some of the other celebs and in this game that is a disadvantage.

The UK non celeb series are on iplayer, you are doomed!

MeNotMyselfAndI · 06/11/2025 23:22

Your thread title is a bit of a spoiler 😂

David is a historian, he presents “A house in time”. Which I love.

Nick was in Ted Lasso, and he’s done loads of other things

Finto1111 · 06/11/2025 23:23

Poor joe.

zazazaaarmm · 06/11/2025 23:24

I thought that was spectacular TV. So pleased Alan won. Would equally have loved Joe to win. Could feel Nick's anguish.
David was the classic middle class intellect, clever with books but not with people.

placemats · 06/11/2025 23:25

Wanted either Cat or Alan to win and I'm always a Faithful supporter. Well done Alan. Loved his charity choice as well.

And David has a nice gentle voice.

I’ve heard David at other events as well. He isn’t a comedian or professional entertainer like most of the others, he is an academic who is good at communicating and presenting in his subject. He is brilliant at bringing his subject alive to the least likely audience but historians generally take an careful analytical approach and Traitors demands something much more haphazard.

Shimmyshimmycocobop · 06/11/2025 23:27

I loved the end, initially wanted Alan and Cat to win but would have also been happy with a Nick/Joe combo.
Came on here for the chat as I have loved this series but a bit disappointed with the previous thread (6) which seems very critical of everyone. I think it's been a surprising success, for me the best season so far.

i think it’s his tone, and I’ve always been a fan.

Stephen at least constantly admitted he hadn’t a clue. David was incredibly sure of his opinions and would often steer the table away just as they were zeroing in on a traitor with the stupidest of theories,
delivered with such self assurance.

I was sure he’d address that in uncloaked, but he didn’t.

That’s a fair comment

Apparently he is from very humble beginnings
