I would like Rylan and Rob Rinder to co-present please. Rylan as Tess and Rindy as Claud.
I would also like Oti to replace Shirley.

Sorry alpacas, you beat me to it by a mile! Agree with you 💯 These two are awesome together, just a delight. Rylan was damned good on It Takes Two and Rob and him have brilliant chemistry. Do I need to comment on the Beeb website to make this happen?!

They would not (in my opinion) have Motsi and Oti on the same panel

I'd veto Gethin and Helen. Both far too bland and earnest. They need a mix of Tess's Blackpool night-out glamour and Claudia's well-connected wit.

I'd like Erin as a judge. Sit her next to Anton.

I’d be very happy with Zoe as Tess and Mell as Claudia.

I’d also be happy with Oti replacing Shirley having seen her give really good and constructive judging feedback on other shows but I agree - I don’t see them putting sisters on the panel. I thought Darcey Bussell was always very good on feedback - not a ballroom dancer but the years of class showed in how she explained the way to change or manage a movement.

I think Mel would be great as Claudia. Rylan or Zoe as Tess.

Popbich had an item in the mailout today saying that there is more dirt to come out about Strictly, which T & C are aware of and want to dissassociate themselves from... who knows.

If Rylan is involved I'm not watching anymore..; I think he is tainted now, though, for a primetime slot. (Depite being a huge Alice Roberts fan I'm not watching the Essex Witches thing because Rylan).

Why would Rylan be tainted @lettingthedaysgoby ? This is something I’m not aware of.

Rylan is dreadful.

Another thing he said was:

which is highly contentious.

Yep I can see why that would be…not a lot of opportunities to go off piste on Strictly though. Everything is on the clock.

I've just seen someone else on a different forum say that if Mel & Sue took over then the Clauditorium could become the Melitorium. Please let it happen!

I don’t think he’d get it anyway. I’d prefer Zoe & Mel.
It definitely needs someone with a sense of humour & Mel has that off kilter thing.

Claud knows she’ll be alright as she gets most tv jobs going, she wanted to take Tess down with her.

When I heard the news whilst driving around for work, I was weirdly upset. Tess and Claudia are strictly and when Bruce Forsyth left, it was really ground breaking that 2 women would be hosting Saturday prime time TV. Both obviously love the show and I think it is a huge loss. I respect that they made the decision to leave together and the way they have supported each other over the years has been lovely to watch. I remember when Bruce died and Tess being so obviously upset and Claudia supporting her and when Claudia's daughter suffered a well published accident Tess detracted from it on her return because she did not want to talk about it

Tess gets a lot of hate but she has anchored the live show for years. She is well respected amoungst her peers as someone who is professional and manages to bring things in on time and keep a complex live show going. The 'Tessbot' and wooden accusations are pretty misogynistic. She is doing her job and Claudia is her foil. I have no idea who could really replace them and keep the positive, sparkly and non- threatening dynamic going but they will need to have the same chemistry and love the show to the same extent.

Just to add, Tess and Claudia have never made the show about them. They get it. Loads of suggestions here just would not do that

Agree @willstarttomorrow I was gutted when I heard. Mostly Claudia, I have definitely said Sack Tess over the years but it’s an achievement for women in broadcasting.

@Guildford321 love this suggestion. Always found Fern to be a warm, funny presenter and she has loads of experience of live TV. Should we start a petition?

Agree with your other post but this point that they don’t make the about them is what I liked about them as a team and what I think is so important to retain.

I’ve often taken a rise out of Tess’s awful wardrobe outfits and some of her presentational style but there is no avoiding her skill as a live presenter of a complex how and how difficult that is compared to edited shows.

I also like them sticking together leaving - rather as Mel and Sue did.

I like the Zoe and Mel possibility, agree Fern could be a good alternative. I also think Alex Scott is a possible for Claudia but doubt she would take it due to sports commitments. I never liked Alesha Dixon as a judge but always thought she would be good in a role more like Claudia’s.

@ I do not know Tess but I know people who produce TV and all have been really complementary about her and explained why she is such a skilled presenter for a live TV show. She gets far more hate than a male presenter would get in the same situation- not many shows compare to Strictly but I cannot think of a male presenter who could do as good a job. She kept Bruce in line for years. I absolutely love the suggestion above for Fern Britten as a replacement.
