Very big shoes to fill. Wonder who will replace them? Don’t want Michael McIntyre.

As I said on the other thread, I suspect they’ll install a retiring Pro in Claudia’s role but it will ned to be a solid TV anchor who takes over from Tess.

I suspect they already have people lined up, this isn’t a sudden announcement. They probably told the BBC they wanted to go earlier this year when all the furore was at fever pitch but we’re convinced to stay for one last series.

Oh fuck! I've never thought that highly of Tess, but she and Claudia are a package and I'll miss them both.
The thought of Michael McIntyre doing it makes my blood run cold. Could Zoe Ball be brought back? Contestant, ITT alumna...

Oh no. Claudia is perfect for the show. (Tess, not so much.) I know they had a pact to leave together.

I hope they don't go for anyone boring like Holly Willoughby or Ronan Kemp or anyone hopeless like Janette and Fleur.

I'd like people who are associated with the show and who have proved their mettle on live TV. I like Rylan. He's quick and witty and very 'light entertainment.' Rylan and Zoe? They don't want two Tesses. They need people who can 'do live' naturally, spontaneously and wittily. No wooden One Show types who can only read an autocue, please.

Hasn't Rylan blotted his copybook with his comments about refugees/immigrants?
Holly Willoughby would be so bland. I don't know who Ronan Kemp is. Janette and Fleur are irredeemably second-string, surely.
Mention of the One Show makes me think of Lauren Laverne, who is effortlessly warm and witty and fast becoming a minor BBC treasure.

Oti? One of my favourite ever pros but an absolutely abysmal television presenter.

I wondered if it could be Oti. Never seen her host though, so no idea what she’s like.

Never seen Oti presenting. I loved her on Strictly though.

Although this is one of the biggest gigs in television I think it is safe to say the BBC will definitely see this as an opportunity to save money. Whoever they get in will be cheaper.

I said on the other thread that it’s also a flagship show on prime time tv and is presented by two women. I’ll be sad to see them go.

Oti is scheduled to be a judge on Ireland’s DWTS early next year

I'd like to still see two women hosting it - but please not Holly willoughby she is dire

. Somebody already on Strictly or has been in the past
. Somebody presented prime time tv
. Former dancers

They need to do proper analysis. As the new presenters can make or break a show

If it's Rylan, I'm not sure I could bear to watch. I can't stand him.

I hadn't realised there was a new thread so much to.talk about. I don't understand why T &C announced now it will over shadow the series, but here we are.

I said it on the other thread but for me it's got to be Rylan and Rob Rinder. Rob as Tess, he's been a contestant and knows the drill and Rylan did ITT for a couple of years. Plus they are both quick witted, already BFFs and have excellent chemistry.
