@C8H10N4O2 💯agree about Shirley. Would love a new judge on the panel. No idea who but someone who is able to be bloody objective at the very least.

Gethin I could live with but even though HS seems like a lovely woman I always feel that she presents like she's still doing kids TV. So I usually end up feeling patronised and annoyed.

I always found Helen S unlikeable. Can't really say why though. Gethin is a bit bland. Might do OK as 'Tess' but for 'Claudia' you want someone with something about them.

Gethin and Helen’s a nice idea… they’d have them dancing on together at the start (although I hate it when the judges get stuck in with the dancing, I find it all a bit cringe).
I also like Lisa Snowden, but recalling one dreadful dance she did with Brendan - the rumba, was it? - I’d be triggered every week.

@Bluffinwithmymuffin wasn't there also her show dance that is down in Strictly folklore?

Oh yes I can see that, she is still a bit blue peter.

DH has suggested Alex Scott - has presenting experience and is an ex contestant, and is popular with the BBC. I do like her but not sure she’s right for Strictly.

The show dance was basically her in foil like a turkey, being thrown and hefted about.

Mmm. Maybe the Claudia role; she's warm and spontaneous. Possibly not heavyweight enough for the main role though (sorry Alex).

Timing wise would clash if she wants to forge a football punditry career - she would be stuck in Elstree waiting for the results show to finish while Match of the Day is being broadcast for almost half of the be football season.

Please not Alex Scott, she is dreadful.

On the mention of Alex Scott, I only find her a decent presenter when she's talking about football. Any other time she just seems out of her depth and insincere.

The only things I've ever seen Tess do have been SMTV Live (post Ant or Dec), a celebrity singing show with Veron and CIN where she was excruciatingly patronising towards Terry Wogan, who never seemed to fully hide his distain towards her.
