Who do we think is likely to be in danger this week? Poor Bal, obviously, Chris (officially Worst Dancer Still In It), and maybe Harry, depending on dances. I think LaV will be OK, although I've noticed sometimes you go the week AFTER you were notably dreadful....

Maybe instead of Icons Week, it should be Inspirations Week - that way the celebs can choose the singers/musicians who have influenced them in some way rather than having to choose someone from an Icons list.

I think Ellmau meant Chris/LV not Chris the rugby player.

I don’t think there are any obvious bottom two pairings now Stefan’s had to bow out. Could be anyone this week, depending on what happens on Saturday night.

I agree with @cavemums “rules” - it worked better with that was the pattern and I liked being able to directly compare multiple dancers doing the same dance.

@Holluschickie also spot on about the treatment black and brown women by Shirley - too loud or too quiet but never “just right”. It's a struggle to take her seriously when she sat there and pretended Chris danced the salsa better than Balvinder’s performance. She always seems to favour the mediocre men over older women unless the women are ringers or NTs. Her comments about Karen and Harry were disgraceful and went way beyond jokey.

Embarrassingly, I actually temporarily forgot Rugby Chris was thrown out last week :) I know it's only just happened...

I really can’t bear that Celine Dion song.

I suspect Balvinder will end up in the dance off with a dancer higher in the table who isn't getting many public votes, and the judges will send her home.

Just checking in.

I think the same sadly. I was really saddened to see her in bottom two again this week as I thought she’d get a boost from being bottom two last week. I think the problem is there are big characters or more well known lower in points and the top are safe for now so she’s just been lost/forgotten in the middle. I don’t think she’s been able/allowed to show much of her personality yet and I’m really not keen on Julian. I feel sorry for her as she said she was a huge strictly fan and she’ll be upset by the way irs gone for her. She should have been given a really well established fan favourite pro to give her the best experience possible given what a huge strictly fan she is (maybe “was” now after her experience!)

Now people are absolutely sure Balvinder is in trouble they might vote for her.

However, there are two country music quicksteps in the same week. The other one is being done by, arguably, the best dancer in the competition and to an absolutely classic sing-a-long song. Balvinder's is to a song from Beyonce's divisive and pretty recent country music period. Doesn't help that Alex is doing Dolly Parton, either.

Unless the judges place Amber at the top of the leaderboard I wouldn't be astonished to see her in the dance off with Balvinder.

I was thinking that, too.

Hopefully the use of Beyoncé for Balvinder might get her some votes, it’s certainly a well known song and a good one to dance to.

It wouldn’t surprise me either if Amber goes sooner rather than later.

She won't go because the judges will save her but I can see her being a dance off regular.

I think Balvinder might get extra votes on Saturday from those who were surprised at 2nd dance off.

There is no way that Amber would go out unless she's on a dance off with Lewis.

Maybe… but then there was that time, years ago, when they ruthlessly got rid of Pixie Lott. Although, thinking about it, she got all the way to the quarter finals iirc.
