The only traditional song and dance type presenter I can think of is Rob Brydon - who I think would be good. Janette or Fleur could fill the Claudia role. However, they may go for someone like Rylan...

I would assume the early news is driven by a leak.

I really hope they keep two women presenters - its so rare in prime time and the audience is still majority women. It might make sense to have a previous competitor or professional but if so I’d be looking at the celeb competitors with good presenting records. In such a prime slot I doubt they would put an untested presenter or a presenter whose tv experience is mainly autocue driven and heavily scripted. I’d have thought the skills were more akin to presenters of chat shows/interview shows where the scope includes departing from scripts rather than the very scripted early evening format.

I wouldn’t mind if it was Rylan and Zoe.

Definitely a leak. They’d never have just flung it out there otherwise.

I was away at the weekend so only caught up. Glad Chris is gone, Nadia had gone full Ola Jordan on Saturday. Really felt for Bal, but she doesn't look like she is enjoying the experience at all.
Just saw Claude and Tess's news. That might be me done, it's lost its shine the last few series and new presenters might just be too much.

Lauren Laverne has been liking lots of the strictly posts on instagram, which I thought was a bit out of character- but now wondering if she is auditioning for Claudia’s role ?

That was one of my first thoughts… perhaps I should put a bet on

I would be surprised if Dooley took it because her specialism is very different - documentary making not live tv. Making live tv look effortless and natural is really difficult which is presumably why it attracts such big bucks.

The issue with most of the pros would presumably be they are untested as presenters and those which have presented have not been that great.

Stacey Dooley, will do anything tbf that isnt a criticism but I don't think it is out of her remit, although her and Kevin are acting now so maybe not for them

Has she ever done live tv presenting of the Strictly type? I only really know her as a documentary/reporter type rather than a live presenter.

Zoe & Anton would be my choice. I like Rylan but I don’t think he’s right for this.

Random thought on presenters - I see more live presenters developing on youtube type streams than on terrestrial tv. I wonder if they would look to a youtuber?
