She might have had an offer to do something that meant she couldn't carry with Strictly (or Claudia has and Tess is regretting the leaving together pact!)

I stopped watching ITT when Zoe Ball left. It just got too cringe.

Would love Mel and Sue - inspired idea!

Loved Zoe Ball & Ian Waite on ITT.

Oh poor Davina! I think she's very genuine and has done honestly great work on menopause awareness, but I agree she would not be the right choice for Strictly

I'm pleased it's not just me who has found ITT hard to watch with Janette and Fleur co-hosting. Neither of them are skilled presenters and it really exposes what a flimsy show it is.

I think they were pushed into announcing before it was done for them by the tabloids, that’s why it’s come out at a weird time instead of at the end.

They will actually leave twice unless someone is drafted in to do the Christmas spesh. I know it’s prerecorded but their formal goodbye will be the final so it’s weird if they are there for Christmas

I think Davina just seems to have covered every female "lifestage" through out her career and her latest is menopause. It just comes over a bit disingenuous, although im sure she thinks she has done great.

I don't hate Janette and fleur on it takes two but they absolutely cannot ad lib or cope with changes so would be rubbish on the live show

I would prefer a single companion show for an hour or hour and half each week Extra Slice style. A decent exit interview, a review of the dances from the previous show, a proper look at training, costumes, something about style/technique to look for a in a forthcoming dance etc.

The current format lunges from frantically trying to wedge interviews with all the pairs in to too little time to trying to fill too much time once the field has been thinned out. A once a week commitment would probably attract a higher calibre of host and take the pressure off the couples to have to pitch up every week.

I did read on the BBC Tiktok about it that they will be doing the Christmas Special, but that's the last one for them both.

Have they actually recorded the Christmas special yet? If not, I'd imagine they'll say goodbye officially then. It being their last live show shouldn't overshadow the final.

I loved Mel and Sue on GBBO but has Sue done much live work? Everything I’ve seen her in has been pre recorded and edited, including radio appearances.

If they both had the live presenting experience I could see them both as “Claudia” but not sure about “Tess”. As you say, the format can be changed as it has been in the past.

I main change I’d like to see on the judging is Shirley but that would have to be someone from the world of ballroom.

Mel was brilliant when she presented the live tour - she was clearly going off script and kept the judges on their toes

That her hairdresser partner dyes and definitely not with the product she advertises!

And the SHOUTING, faux hyperventilating, OTT facial expressions and just generally finding herself hilarious.

I can just about tune her out on The Masked Singer because she's one of four on the panel but I found her a much better presenter back in the day before she started doing all that.

I agree, it'd be a good 'chemistry test' without the stress of a live show.

Replacements…Lisa Snowden, currently presents on This Morning, and ex SCD.

Tops for me Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton. Both capable live presenters, both ex SCD.
