I've just watched their wedding episode today! At first I thought "ooft" then I thought "cringe", dare I ask what this bum terrorising is about?!? 😶‍🌫️ I tried to find the season 9 threads so I could see if other people shared my feelings/frustrations but couldn't find the very first one to start from the beginning.

I’m with you, I have been watching it for years, it’s been a guilty pleasure as I don’t ever watch reality things.
But I’m watching it now with my shoulders around my ears, because it’s got so many problems….the Ixperts have really changed, are we sure they haven’t been replaced by AI 🥴they’ve turned into mere observers/ manipulators of abuse under the guise that they’re helping.
I find it difficult now watching some of these people, generally young people, who think they’re using the as a stepping stone, but are being used a throwaway pawns.

I wonder if this will be under the scrutiny that the god awful programme Jeremy Kyle will be in a short while.

I find it quite sad that people can’t see past his nice guy act to the predatory, creepy man he is and how she is being coerced by the show into keeping trying. When women can’t see men like this for who they are, they are in danger from them, and when men can’t see it, that’s probably because they see this predatory, creepy behaviour as acceptable and do it too….after all they're ‘nice’ aren’t they, they told us so? 😡 🤢 So many people seem incredibly bad at spotting red flags. We see in on here, women getting the blame and blaming themselves when the men have gaslit them so much that they can no longer think straight, that is exactly what has happened to Sarah.

I have been watching with my partner and young adult son and I’m so pleased they both pointed out Deans behaviour as bad and I didn’t have to. My teen daughter has only watched snippets with me and said ‘anyone that has to tell people they’re nice, usually isn’t.’

Gaston (Luke) told his “wife” (Amy) that he wanted to terrorise her bum hole. IIRC he thought this was quite romantic. Didn’t he put it in a card or something?

I think it’s really interesting the differing points of view on this.
My daughter and daughter-in-law have completely opposite views, both are very kind, levelheaded people, both early 20’s
My daughter went through a bad relationship a couple of years ago, we had no idea but saw her confidence slide (an awful scary time) she now still apologies for everything and anything -she immediately pointed out the Flying Monkeys and Triangulation abuse when she watched them both.
my DIL on the other hand who has been with my son since school, champions Dean (her brother is very much like Dean, a larger than life character, loves the stage)

Also Gaston/Luke is a total dreamboat compared to Dean. Gaston thought he was romantic and his wife sort of liked him. Dean knows that Sarah can't stick him and I'm not even sure if she does get on with him. The trouble with this show is that we are increasingly shown less and less of their interractions. I think the last series was slightly worse as the talked all the time about things that we had no idea of and would have actually been interesting to watch.

Care to sum up? I have been down with the lurgy for the last 2 days and just can't bare doing so much reading.

If we could see it we would make up our own minds though, which is what they don't want. The editing is so unbelievable but still gets swallowed by people who just want to be taken on a journey by the producers. Guys swearing blind Sarah as been spouting horrible things...not listening to what she actually says which is repeating what he said about himself. Get the experts to shout at her for it and it must be true! Can't risk showing any more or all the hard work poorly editing it to fit their narrative would have been wasted.

It's not worth bothering with, some men came on and told us to hate Sarah and that we were all transphobes. We've all agreed to ignore any further posts as they sucked the joy out of the thread.

I only popped off the thread for a couple of days, and in that short time it’s been taken over by a couple of self righteous, goady fuckers, who’ve completely de-railed it and ruined it with some imaginary bollocks about trans people?!!

Anyway, annoying newbies aside.

It’s thrown me off a little that we’ve got the show on from Sun - Wed, instead of Mon - Thurs. I had to keep checking to make sure I didn’t have my days wrong!

Will be interesting to see what crops up this week. Sarah looks pretty broken. Dean continues to behave like a creep believing he can ‘touch his wife whenever he wants’ - he should maybe have a lesson in consent from Grace.

Davide & Keye are probably one of my favourite couples at the moment.

Hot Dog man and his wife (April?), seem to be well suited. Let’s see what the producers do to fuck that up!

Leisha and Reiss don’t seem suited at all. It’s already kicking off with them two by the looks of things!
