The BBC has released the transmission date for Nine Bodies In A Mexican Morgue – the six-episode series from the mind of Anthony Horowitz.

Starts next Saturday

In the six-part series, a plane carrying a small group of passengers, crew and pilot, crashes in the Mexican jungle.

All the bodies are recovered and placed in a morgue… but it turns out that only one of them died in the crash.

The other passengers were murdered afterwards, each one in a unique way.

But by whom?

And why? As the story unfolds in flashback, we meet the survivors as they fight against the heat, a shortage of supplies, the many dangers of the jungle… and each other.

The setting becomes increasingly tense and claustrophobic as, one by one, they are dispatched with a series of shocks that bring us ever closer to the truth and – at the very end – a jaw-dropping reveal.

The ensemble cast includes Eric McCormack (Will & Grace, Perception), David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery) as Zack; Lydia Wilson (The Swarm) as Sonja; Peter Gadiot (Yellowjackets) as Carlos; Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls) as Lisa; Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Tourist) as Travis; Adam Long (Happy Valley) as Dan, and Jan Le (The Capture) as Amy. Filming recently started in the Canary Islands.

Ha! That little smile right at the end in the plane, the irony of what was about to happen was totally not lost on him…. Fantastic series, loved all of it (well apart from the torture scene). Think Eric McCormack might just be my new crush!

Fun wasn’t it. Now it’s finished I can say that the bit that really infuriated me was when Lisa had a gun pointed at the killer and she a) chose not to shoot him- that character definitely would have shot him and then b) he disappeared in front of her eyes. Vanished and then reappeared behind her! That was ok when it was Amy because it was possible she was hallucinating but not Lisa…massive plot hole.

I did guess Kevin and the eaten face plot twist but not very far in advance. Loved the ending, I wish Zac realised that he had managed to get him after all.

Oh. Re reading my posts - I did call Kev as the killer 😂😂😂

Well worth watching, loved that end scene, that smile! Anthony Horowitz is such a good writer.

Yes why lisa didn’t shoot him and how he suddenly got behind her is weird

same how did he manage to get up the mountain so quick at the end to shoot and kill the other 2

let alone falling all that way off a mountain and not a single broken bone.
