Where There's Cake, There's Hope...Bake Off 25

The new series starts on Tuesday 2nd September and the bakers have been named. A few weeks earlier than recent seasons, so taking us nicely from late summer through to the cosiness of autumn.

No change to the team of Paul, Prue, Noel and Alison, which I thought worked well last year - it was a warmer and kinder programme than it has been for a few years.

The usual eclectic mix of contestants, but less of an age spread than some years - a lot of 30 somethings, no-one under 20 or over 60.

Anyone else excited for this season?

@Pancakeflipper - it was a hypothetical challenge! I've never made it before. You can buy marshmallow fluff, I think it's called, in a jar - maybe that would work as a substitute.

Now, that's a Bake Off challenge that I'd be tempted to try at home.

Are McVities notified about bake off doing hob nobs because there maybe a surge in sales as a result.

Yes, they look a disaster. Using the silicon mould seems to have been the downfall as they all got stuck.

@PrincessScarlett her goose was cooked (even if her biscuits weren't) when she decided to bake then cut...

She seemed to falter at the 1st stage of making the actual biscuit.

Isn't she the one who doesn't eat sweet things ???? If so... this is why.... now I'm an expert Hob Nob eater..
