Epcot is apparently a trans comedian, Spike Einbender (sibling of Hannah from Hacks) but no idea who the dancing fool was. The show really didn't do Gen Z any favours by depicting them as self-obsessed, rude, and overly concerned with gender and pronouns.

And the SATC theme tune over the end credits was probably the best thing about the episode!

I’ve been following all the AJLT threads and the main reason I haven’t watched the show is the Big erasure. I realise they were probably blindsided by the allegations against Chris Noth but they could still have respectfully dealt with their relationship in the aftermath. If Carrie had been my friend of 30 years standing I’d have been pushing her into grief counselling.

They shat on SATC from a great height.

Thankfully, in my mind Big and Carrie are still on the bridge in Paris.

I’m so disappointed, what a terrible finale. Why couldn’t we have had the season in full and then because it has been cancelled, a one off episode later in the year or next year as a proper ending.
Like a previous poster said, I feel bereft.

maybe it would be different with the sound - but I enjoyed it.
I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised
For me it did tie up the lose ends
but left enough to pick up , if they do season 4
loved the wedding dress scene
and that Carrie changed the end of the books epilogue

Nothing says we decided to end it here like wasting time on LTW's stupid almost affair, unfinished pseudo-documentary, and her boring husband; and introducing two brand new, unpleasant, pointless characters; and a load of piss and shit.

Then having dour, sour Carrie staring with a weird tense chin at her horrible decor in her new oversized house pretending she is happy to be on her own. She's not. (I am!)

I remain SO curious about what's been going on behind the scenes that we didn't get an everyone together for Thanksgiving finale. Scheduling? More fallings out?
Even clearly not knowing it was the final finale, surely that would be the obvious way to end the series. All bundled around the table being together, giving thanks for their friendships old and new. And then everyone can take the Very Special Pies gone and we still get everyone's separate endings too.
Loved Carrie's final outfit. Enjoyed Miranda's scenes with Steve and Joy that actually moved the plot and characters forwards. Happy for Harry that his penis works again. Concerned that Lisa won't have lined up an alternative WOC for the 10th ep and therefore has a lot more work to do - she's going to miss her delivery deadline. Baffled they they're pretending this was the intended ultimate ending and they wasted time with the Gen Z stereotypes, literal shit and Mark Kasabian.

The pies looked shit!

Apparently the pie shop is real and those pies cost about $70 each. Having read that I winced when Anthony got his in the face!

That double Libra baby is now a good month overdue.

Well they looked cheap from Morrisons bakery! I was expecting some lovely fancy French patisserie style thing. I could do so much better myself.

I didn't find the episode overall that unbearable. But agree it wasn't great.

First and foremost, that bathroom scene was vile and so unnecessary. Agree that we have to endure too many men pissing (if written by a woman I could interpret that men can piss off as a subliminal message, but).

Mia's posse was just awful and again unnecessary.

What struck me most, though, was how similar Carrie's ending was to Ally McBeal. Ally had a few major loves of her life that ended (curse you RDJ though - still haven't forgiven him IRL for what Larry had to do to Ally, because Larry never would have left Ally otherwise). And Barry White was an absolute staple to that show. They used his music all the time. Anyone who is watching AJLT is likely of the age to have watched Ally McBeal. The show ended with Ally alone (albeit with a daughter she didn't know she had), but she too "was not alone but on her own." Really, really annoyed me. They could have used any other song.

Finally, the montage moments running at the end was disappointing. It was good to get some "closure" on everyone's storylines, but SATC was all about the friendships. The last scene, even with the message that Carrie was fine with the possibility of not meeting another man, should have been Carrie with all her friends (the loves of her life, wisely said by Big).

Why would people be reading the thread if they haven't watched the final episode? That's on them.

I wonder why they didn’t say it was the final series with a grand finale later in the year, so they could all get back together to film a proper double length episode finale? Instead of leaving this deeply unsatisfying non ending.

Using a song that is SO associated with a different series was an interesting choice. And as you say, a different series with so many parallels, that originally aired at the same time, with huge audience cross over.

Sorry if this has been said already but I remember PF wasn't happy when SJP started saying all the wardrobe was pretty much mostly her input & how she'd (SJP) would just "find" nuggets of gold in discount/second hand shops.. not the way PF remembers it, her daughter used to be the wardrobe assistant too iirc

Didn't understand why noone got hold of that boy/girl wokey thing and didn't kick it up the arse as they threw it out the door, talk about in your face. It's the same with Seemas secretary, why couldn't she have a girl one.

I won't miss this at all because it was trying too hard and was just annoying. Like they said about Disney "Go woke go broke". Not everyone what's to see all that supposedly ultra modern stuff.

I think it sort of worked. Mark the gallery person with his 3 marriages was highlighting that Carrie was better on her own.

Really enjoyed that too. Fashion and a bit of decent writing for once. Everyone looked great in that scene except for poor old LTW who was dressed as a clown again

I agree! Didn't love some bits but overall I really quite enjoyed it, even felt a bit emotional a couple of times.
Now off to start a SATC rewatch ☺️

WTAF was that?? & WHY?? Why the need to bring in more Gen Zeds we don't care & won't care about in THE FINALE! It was an absolute disgrace..& yet in my heart of hearts I'm thinking could there be a feature, maybe not cinema but feature length to tie up a few things? I'm a glutton I know but NO ONEgot what they wanted from any of this!
