Anyone planning on watching this?

Rob Brydon hosts as contestants are driven around Europe in a blacked out bus, trying to guess where they are. I’ve seen clips of the US Version, it might be good!

The clues were a bit ridiculous, I couldn’t keep up and it only made sense at the end .. the V was a bit sneaky,
I hope none of them become ill on board , will they have to blind fold them to go to hospital or have to leave ?
I am assuming nobody was poorly as would be a bit of a nightmare!

SwedishEdith · 30/07/2025 22:08

I was confused as well so console myself I'd still be in as would have gone for Strasbourg or even Mulhouse (as it was near there that I heard people speaking Alsacienne.

the80sweregreat · 30/07/2025 22:09

Dh put France on the interactive app and he was 44km out !

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/07/2025 22:09

become ill on board a norovirus outbreak would be lethal

Same .
Though to be fair I had to quick look up where you were all talking about first ...the judge approximately!

But couldn't pin point it .or place it .

Read the last 5-8 posts: but it wasn’t Paris, all the clues were Alsace. They were in Alsace, then travelled on their X bus to somewhere. But the place they were supposed to guess was Alsace. Not Paris.

Why did Rob say “Destination X is Paris”? Confused

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/07/2025 22:06

Identify the final destination for that leg

So, they’re supposed to be in one potentially identifiable space, and deduce another final destination from it?

KassandraOfSparta · 30/07/2025 22:10

Clues far too convoluted - if anyone is as old as me and remembers the ridiculous poems on 3-2-1 that's what it reminded me of. I felt it was fairly obvious they were in Alsace but would have gone for Strasbourg rather than Paris. The stuff with the twins was stupid.

Also - pisses me off no end when someone gets the chance to compete for £100k and then goes home after less than a day because he misses his mum. Someone else could have had that spot.

I would imagine the other three who were "eliminated" at the airport will make a return at home point.

NCTDN · 30/07/2025 22:11

They were in Paris at the end, but the majority of clues were about Alsace which is 490km away Confused

That was for @PuppyMonkey

TheSpottedZebra · 30/07/2025 22:13

Or do they only have to guess the capital city of the country they're in? It's not clear!

Yes, a poor choice of candidate. They need The Traitors selection process. Robust.

the80sweregreat · 30/07/2025 22:13

I bet they have cleaners come on or the loo changed to try and stop them becoming ill.
It must be disorienting not having a clue where you are

I think so. There were clues it was Paris in the Box of tricks. I got pulled away and missed a bit. Not everyone would know Alsace but everyone knows Paris

Maybe that would make it easier if they always end up in a capital city? There’s enough they could get to in 9 rounds.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/07/2025 22:14

There was an American series of this, filmed in Europe so I guess the production company did a batch. Maybe I'll Google that and see if it was just country/capital they had to guess.

Bellaphant · 30/07/2025 22:17

Knew the cathedral was French, and had spotted 'Lorraine' but none of the other clues. Unsure how Deborah got so confused: didn't she win the clues because she was picking france? Or was she guessing randomly and happened to be more right than others?

placemats · 30/07/2025 22:18

Got a badge! Should have gone with my instinct and Paris. Some of the men on bus are deliberately misleading others.

the80sweregreat · 30/07/2025 22:18

It is edited in a weird way at times.

Serenster · 30/07/2025 22:18

Tooneyy · 30/07/2025 22:03

I'm baffled by this! I know where Colmar is and got the Alsace clues, but how were we meant to know they'd driven all the way to Paris?

Ditto here - I also thought they might have ended up in Strasbourg, the Eiffel Tower reveal really threw me!

I guess the theory must be that if you get all the clues about the country you are in correct, you are then unlikely to be eliminated even if it’s much harder to guess the final destination?

Fordian · 30/07/2025 22:19

So have I missed this? That they’re taken to an outlier area of a country, like the Alsace, then are expected to State The Capital of that country?

I bet it was the second!!

I knew it was France because they showed a sign with French and German, and then mentioned something about a border. Then they showed mbappe and de bruyne so I knew it had to be France 🤣

placemats · 30/07/2025 22:21

No it's the destination. Which just happened to be Paris. @Fordian

Fordian · 30/07/2025 22:22

Thanks, but how do they deduce the ‘destination’?

Popfan · 30/07/2025 22:23

I watched this, it was OK. I'd have liked there to be more of the locations being shown to both us and the contestants... it was mostly filmed on a bus and I felt they could have just been in a studio for the whole thing. Surely if they let them out in various villages, by rivers, mountains whatever it would still be hard to guess and they could still have the odd clue. It's billed as a travel game show but we saw very little of the places they travelled through!
