Perhaps we should forward this thread to ITV to let them know that we, the great British public, do not like being manipulated. We are just as likely to vote for whoever we want to win without hearing a million sob stories, and being fed only half a story (obviously the bit most likely to produce the aaahhh factor) just makes us pissed off.

Perhaps they should stop calling the show Britain's Got Talent and call it the Aaahhh Factor.

agree Freckle

I thought Escala were being electrocuted and the sullen one with the Celine Dion squashed-in-a-lift face was particularly bizarre.

wuzzlefraggle · 03/06/2008 16:35

lol hunker

She did look like Celine Dion! (who I swear is really a man in drag)

who do you mean? [Ignorant emoticon]

That YouTube ad is very interesting.... very similar to George's act eh? I think the dog (Gin) should have won. She's amazing. Credit too, to Kate her owner/trainer. That dog is something else though. Oh, the sexy karate guys would have been worthy winners too imo

wuzzlefraggle · 04/06/2008 09:29

3andmore : Escala were the four violin players (if your question was aimed at me and hunker lol)

I didn't see the programme, but I did watch the acts on Youtube and the ones I saw I thought;

Escala - not good. As someone said, like that group Bond, but playing was BAD. Tuning all over the place, squeaky notes, much more emphasis on the looking provocative than the music. And I really HATE these pseudo classical pieces with heavy drum beats - there are about 2 good ones - including Sky's Toccata, but generally they are just annoying.

Kate and Gin - really cute - she did really well, training Gin, and obviously really shy, must have taken a lot of courage for HER to go on, and amazing that the dog wasn't phased by the lights and the audience.

Andrew - nice voice, not outstanding for a head chorister, but obviously good singer. Have heard far better choristers without looking too far afield! It irritated me that the whole bullying story seemed jumped up - his mum said that the bullying happened a long time ago, and that the media had manipulated their story to make it seem like 'good kid from bad area' whereas where they live is nice!

Faryl - beautiful contralto voice - seems a very unspoilt girl, I thought she was excellent.

Signature - funny! I liked them!

George - gutsy kid, I guess if you like break dancing then he was good, it's not my thing, but he did it well.

Tbh, I thought the most TALENTED performers were....Ant and Dec. Maybe THEY should have won!

wuzzlefraggle · 04/06/2008 09:44

LOL tortoise - totally agree about ant and dec!!!
