Well thank you for the company ladies. Glad it was a worthy winner.

mamalovesmojitos · 31/05/2008 22:00

oh my god i cried. really thought that i was the only person who was amazed by him. clearly not.

well done george!

wheresthehamster · 31/05/2008 22:00

Now what are we going to do in the evenings?

maidamess · 31/05/2008 22:01

Watch Big Brother of course!

bubblerock · 31/05/2008 22:01

George and Signature should have just joined forces - that would have been a good act, all fab dancers imo

schneebly · 31/05/2008 22:02

I am glad George won

littleboyblue · 31/05/2008 22:03

Wow. How good was that. I really feel for the other 2. He was very good though.

Now that's over, what's next, big brother or something?

falcon · 31/05/2008 22:03

I'm not terribly happy with the result, pleased it wasn't another singer but George was not a deserving winner imo.

He was good but not great, Signature should have won but I think the sob story saved the day for George.[angry

jingleyjen · 31/05/2008 22:03

I thought signature should have won hmmmm It was a real variety act for the RVP

Molesworth · 31/05/2008 22:05

lol @ "what the bally hell's this"

I voted for Signature four times. I knew I should have put a couple more in.

CrazyMofo · 31/05/2008 22:12

Yeesssss!!!!!!

So glad George won, he's from my area and ive seen him out in Manchester a few times busking, what a fantastic lad.

Wooohoooooooo

hunkermunker · 31/05/2008 22:12

Escala - being electrocuted?

DirtySexyMummy · 31/05/2008 22:13

GO GEORGE!!

I cried.

CrazyMofo · 31/05/2008 22:13

FALCON- his story really is true tho, he comes from one of the worst areas in Manc ans he.s out there dancing making money, he really did deserve it.

wannaBe · 31/05/2008 22:24

signature should have won.

George winning just seems a bit too fixed for me.

auditioned last year, didn't get to the semi's, then comes back and gets through the 50000 auditionees to get through to the judges/get to the semi's and oh hey presto he wins. have no doubt that he's a genuine kid but these shows are all fixed.

In a way I think it somewhat unfair that an act who did get through last year should be allowed through again especially given how hard it is to actually get as far as seeing the judges. Someone else missed out on that so that he could get a second chance. I wonder if he even had to go through the whole audition process like everyone else?

As for Andrew, I think his reaction just confirms to me why I think kids shouldn't be in these shows - they just don't have the emotional maturity to deal with the not winning, especially when they're as volatile/sensitive as he clearly is.

Whizzz · 31/05/2008 22:25

George isn't from Manchester

Whizzz · 31/05/2008 22:26

Well he might busk there but he doesn't live there

CrazyMofo · 31/05/2008 22:30

sorry whizz- i see Manc as Greater manc/cheshire, theyre all the same right??!!

imaginaryfriend · 31/05/2008 22:36

George is one of the most extraordinary dancers I've ever seen and is so passionate about what he does. I didn't think he'd win but I'm utterly thrilled he did.

DirtySexyMummy · 31/05/2008 22:42

Wannabe - he got through, beat all the other auditionees, and got to the judges/semis/final etc because he is good.

falcon · 31/05/2008 22:47

If his sob story is true or not isn't the issue for me, either way I don't want to hear it.

It's Britain's Got Talent and the final decision should be based on ability alone I'm not convinced that it was.

bluenosesaint · 31/05/2008 22:48

George is from Warrington

I voted Signature - they were brilliant!!

Loved George too thoough

wannaBe · 31/05/2008 22:49

I'm not disputing that he's good, but do you really think that people get through just because they're good? look at all the dross that were in the semi-finals, you can't tell me that that was the best of what was on offer.

Lots and lots and lots of good acts will have been rejected to allow for "entertaining" bad acts to go through. And the likes of Madonna who have a sob story will have been put through ahead of someone who is good but doesn't have a "human interest" element to their life.

And george will almost certainly have been fast-tracked through the audition process because the producers will already know he's been there before - you have to declare on your application if you've auditioned before.

So while I'm not disputing that he's good, I'm not so naive as to think that he got through, this time by going through the same process as everyone else.

CrazyMofo · 31/05/2008 22:50

well ok, but many poeple think he is talented, me included. Maybe its not to everyones taste but it will certainly bring the royal variety show up to date.
