Thought I’d sound the KLAXON and round everyone up for some Strictly chat about possible/rumoured contestants. They usually start announcing soon!

I’ve heard Dani Dyer, Stacey Solomon, Ashley Cain and Tom Parker Bowles

Yes it really doesn’t matter if you haven’t heard of someone I’d never heard of Hamza and ended up voting him to win.

@xsquared, Danny Mac is one of my favourite contestants of all time. I still watch his dances regularly. He was a dreamy dancer and he and Oti were just brilliant together. One of the many dancers who was by far the best dancer in their year but lost out on the win

I agree that you often end up rooting for someone you've never heard of but, at the same time, one of the joys of Strictly - and the show's basic premise - should be seeing a celeb you know in one context perform in a completely different context. For me the perfect kind of Strictly contestant is the Mark Ramprakash type. A cricketer who actually learns how to dance on the show and ends up winning the whole thing.

I prefer it went I don’t know many contestants as then I don’t have any preconceived ideas about them.

Ellie is the shortest female sleb so far so one for Neil, if the age gap isn't too off-putting. In fairness, I think he'd be great with her.

Not heard of the rugby player but one for Luba if he is tall? Will look him up in a minute.

I agree to disagree with regard to the drag act because I loved Courtney Act on DWTS Aus. and Blu was good on DWTS Ireland.
But I respect your views on womanface.

No idea if this is any consolation but La Voix is very old school drag. They have earnt their stripes and then some: more female impersonator than sexualised queen. Their voice is amazing - really very talented - does an amazing Shirley Bassey.

I think if there were no other prominent gay men or lesbian women wanting to take part this year, then La Voix is an acceptable choice and drag is part of the gay subculture. I know many hate drag on here but I really hope Chris changes your mind. I'd put him with JoJo, if Johannes wants that, wouldn't want to pigeon hole.

I loved Hamza, Rose and Pete Wicks having never heard of any of them before the show.

Alex Kingston, I expect to be elegant like Annabel Croft or Katie Derham. That said, I expected that of Rachel Riley and she was quite awkward.

Loved Karen Hardy, but I may be the only person on the planet who couldn't flipping stand Ramprakash! Yes he danced really well, but I found him really disingenuous and faux humble. Couldn't take to him at all

@SequinsandSolerosive just watched Ellie Goldstein on Breakfast. She expressed a desire to get Nikita and failing that Aljaz!

They had one on the Christmas show but haven't had a DQ on a full series in the UK. I believe there have been DQs on full series in other countries but I only ever watch the UK one so haven't seen them.

There was one last Christmas episode called Tayce

Dani Dyer won Love Island with her new partner on there, Jack. Their romance It didn't last very long after the show but they were quite cute in it.

It was known at the time that she was the daughter of DD.

She is married to a footballer.

I love Natalie she is so graceful.

I for one think that La Voix will be amazing. They were a delight on Drag Race, and will bring joy and positivity (and hopefully their lovely dad) to Saturday nights.

Chris is lovely and when he's in character she's fab too. This is a brilliant signing.

Without looking, the other Chris (Robshaw) I'm sure he's married to a singer, Camilla someone.
