Wasn't born but I didn't realise these songs were that old. I thought they came out mid to late 90s. I notice all the singers sing so well and can play the piano.

Friends went to Alison’s gig recently and said it was shit. I was sad.

For my O'level art I did the most marvellous study of David Sylvian in shades of blue pastel. He was a beautiful man in his youth. I'm glad I don't have it any more as I am sure it is better in my memory than reality 😅

I was looking at Japan videos on YouTube recently and David Sylvian looked like Princess Diana really.

I remember hearing an interview with an artist (can't remember who now) who had done a concert in plastic trousers which melted under the lights. He had to go to hospital to get them removed 😱

The 80s really did have the best music. And so many albums/songs from then stand up so well still today.

I was 15, watching Newsround when they announced the concert.

I asked to borrow my mum's credit card, called some friends, called the ticket line and managed to get 5 tickets.

(the first group of friends I called didn't want to come!)

It was an amazing atmosphere, have never felt anything like it since.

I’m thinking how bored the crowd seem to be compared to big concerts now.
Also how ‘white’ the audience are considering the whole point of the concert was to raise money for Africa.
