I can see now why it was the Queen part that has been so bigged up in history. Most of what I have seen in the last hour has been quite dull. Maybe I would have been more excited at 16...

I was there aged 13 with my 16 yr old brother...went on our own on the train...cannot remember how we got home to Windsor but guess we did ...
What makes it more remarkable by today's standards is weeks before I'd heard a rumor at our local record shop that there were tickets available for in person sales at Wembley. I went on my own on train, found tube , went to Wembley..found the ticket office hidden away in a deserted building and got tickets...
And I understand why I roll my eyes when we see threads here about people worrying about leaving their teen alone for five minutes

They sort of started in that genre but I realise they weren't the real deal. They didn't really amount to a whole lot really (Geldof admitted this himself) so it was a bit ironic hearing him slag off arguably one of the best groups ever. (Controversial!)
