A thread to discuss the addictive and bingeable DCC series. Series 2 out today.

When Reece and the girl with red hair were staying in the hotel in series 1, I got the impression they were only doing DCC. Which must be a lot easier than working as an orthodontist all day then starting DCC at 7! Reece did then get a job in a florists, although could have been part time. I get the impression Reece has a lot of family money behind her, so doesn't have to worry as much as others about making a living.

I bet the Dallas Cowboys aren't told to have a cheerful countenance at all times and smile at every creature they meet, like the DC cheerleaders are.

Yeah she's one of those "I'm upfront & say what's on my mind" to the detriment of those poor young women

Michele who helps the girls who are released seems lovely.
The daughter of Charlotte (owner's granddaughter) doesn't seem to add much.

I wonder what brand the leggings and crop tops a lot of the girls wear in their free time are. The ones with the small circle on the back.

I’ve posted on the other thread, but I’ve just finished this season and I found the way that the two girls who broke rules in the last episode were treated so differently really really strange.

I hate reality TV but love DCC! Been counting the days till season 2. I know they wear skimpy outfits and obviously sexualised but I totally admire them. they are not 'just' cheerleaders. they are highly talented and trained dancers, performers, actors, models, representatives of the brand etc. Really admire them, especially with the pittance they get paid.

Just on episode 3. What is it with the gorgeous girls with proper ugly boyfriends. Oh I know it's not politically correct to say that but come one seriously?

We had Reese in Season 1 with pink potato and now we have gorgeous Madie in Season 2 with dodgy looking Bryant! These guys must be thinking HTF have we got so lucky!

On the thread for the first series, someone said there was a certain sense of pride, in certain religious parts of the US, in marrying your first boyfriend, and that Kelly had said "well done" to Reese for doing so. But then she was all "he is NOT what I was expecting" when she met him!

I was thinking the same! Even the group leader. I mean, they all seem semi decent guys, from what we can see, but they are all massively punching!! Maybe anyone would be compared to a DCC…

So glad I spotted this thread as I didn't know there was a 2nd season out now!

What shocked me in the 1st season was how little they get paid, and, much worse... the company don't even provide them with health insurance! I'm really shocked at that, given how they push them hard to the point of injury. I bet all their meagre wages go on insurance, meaning they come out with basically nothing.

I felt sorry for Victoria. I felt she was only in it because of her very pushy, ex DCC mother.

We watched the first series. I remember Victoria and felt sorry for her.

On payment it is low, maybe they’re keen still for promo opportunities.

Saw today that for the 2025 contracts, the girls got a 400% salary increase.

pissed me off that in ep 4/5, Kellie and Whatsherface are saying “in my day, we paid for our own hair…now the girls get fake tan and lashes from our corporate sponsors!”

They KNEW they were fucking over those girls and just tried to cover it up with some BS argument

I hope Dayton's mum wasn't too hard on her about not getting in again. It seemed like she bullied her a bit. I hope she gets away from her if so.
I think the company only gave in over the pay because of the weight of public opinion about it. I don't think they'd ever have paid them properly otherwise. Grr

Reece stands out as a lovely and genuine girl and her faith is a joy to watch. i think people are too eager to mock Christians but its super to see someone stand out for their faith.
