Poor Craig met his maker after Mick hurt him bad
He was a bit boring, but I can't help but feel sad
Mick's wife Lou left him, can't blame her quite frankly
He's abusive and repugnant inside and out, and quite manky

Mick wants to see Kit as he knows he slept with Lou
He's got Bernie now, but what is he going to to do?
Mick's nasty little son is out of the STC
Will he be as bad as Mick, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Debbie's quite ill, she's dumped Ronnie and he's very sad
Kevin's still battling cancer, and he's getting quite bad
Glenda's the new landady of the pub now, and Jenny and Daisy are gone
And Julie has died very suddenly, I hoped she'd go on and on.

(I'm sure there's some more things going on right now, but I've only just woken up after a rough night's sleep.) 😆

Perhaps they will have a huge funeral with Beth at the heart of it, no expense spared, guard of honour etc, but off screen and we just hear about it in the pub after.

Probably will be something like that......

I was going to ask who Craig's father is/was but found the answer in the Corrie wiki page. I then looked up Kirk. He's described on there as "dense but with a good heart". Just thought I'd let you know 🙂

MmeChoufleur · 25/05/2025 15:25

I think Beth will go mad with grief and end up being sectioned, and everyone will say what a shame it is that she couldn’t be at the funeral.

With Elton John re-recording Candle in the Wind

Another one that perplexed me as a nurse 😆 Carla and the kidney transplant, up straight away, totally unrealistic recovery and now nothing mentioned of it since, not even a mention of any hospital check ups

Eastie77Returns · 26/05/2025 04:20

Carla was once an alcoholic, at death’s door etc for a few episodes. She then miraculously went into recovery and overcame the addiction within about a week (because that’s how alcoholism works..). She was soon back in the Rovers drinking wine and it was never mentioned again.

JewelleryCat · 26/05/2025 20:55

Well that’s one way to not see Beth, have the funeral in Norfolk even though Craig had no connections there

Fatrosrhun · 26/05/2025 20:58

What a rubbish way to get round it! And they’ll have a mock funeral without Beth on Corrie.

stampin · 26/05/2025 21:10

RIP Craigy. Funeral in Norfolk with just family invited?

What family would that be then?

Also wouldn’t it be even more expensive to bring the body down there and funerals are expensive

Beth wasn’t exactly well off

zanahoria · 26/05/2025 21:16

It is bad enough with all the crime but now the show is full of self righteous criminals and their apologists constantly mouthing off about how hard done by they are

MonickerMonica · 26/05/2025 21:20

So none of Craig's friends and neighbours will be travelling down to attend his funeral? Script writers should be ashamed !

What a cop out! ( no pun intended 😕 )

Yes I’m absolutely sick of it.

Didn’t Daniel say he’d go down there? He’s the only family I can think of. Will Kirk go down there?

Yes you’re right. My friend’s mum lived 40 miles away and she had her brought back to where she lived for the funeral and it cost a fortune.

eggandonion · 26/05/2025 21:41

Craig possibly had life insurance via his work? I am very cross about him dying, a week on.
I do like Julie's order of service though 😊

Maybe because the actress who plays Beth has left so would be more realistic to not have his friends there rather than his mother tho I’m surprised they couldn’t get her back for one last episode

I seem to remember it was her second kidney transplant. The first one was a few years ago, the donor was Aidan Conner, who miraculously turned out to be her half brother. It was the same scenario afterwards, straight into the Rovers and grabbing a bottle of wine.Correct me if I am wrong.
Also Tracey had a kidney transplant years ago, no mention of it at all.

Amazing how major surgeries are only minor in Corrie! 😅 you don’t expect them to drag on, but imagine joe bloggs finds out he needs a kidney transplant, hopefully he won’t think he’ll be straight to the pub because of Carla on Corrie!

Thanks for new thread .

I wonder if Beth will be too ill /incapacitated to travel to Weatherfield and the funeral will be held up where she is now living .

I really hope not 😕..

Craigy deserves a good send of .

Mind , the last few funerals they have done on the street have been right measly sparse affairs with a few street residents and 2 or 3 unknowns.

Just saying like !!

I said it would be there !!

😁😁.

Poor Craigy being buried on the East coast instead of the West !.

bizzey · 27/05/2025 03:07

I realise I said " up " where she is ..(talking about where Beth is in Norfolk...but I am from there that London ....every where is UP 🤣🤣...

Apart from our souff coast of course 🤣

EachandEveryone · 27/05/2025 05:36

Honestly it’s a joke the way they treat the viewers.

Freysimo · 27/05/2025 06:24

Wouldn't the police pay for the funeral as Craig was killed on duty?

eggandonion · 27/05/2025 07:48

Norfolk is quite big, where is Beth? Does anyone know. And she's only there because of Kit and some tshirt scam thing I couldn't follow.
Summer is usually in the Rovers looking sad when someone dies.

Clawdy · 27/05/2025 08:14

Think Kirk mentioned something about a memorial, so there will probably be a big ceremony on the street, with everyone in tears, but Beth obviously won't need to be there.
