Poor Craig met his maker after Mick hurt him bad
He was a bit boring, but I can't help but feel sad
Mick's wife Lou left him, can't blame her quite frankly
He's abusive and repugnant inside and out, and quite manky

Mick wants to see Kit as he knows he slept with Lou
He's got Bernie now, but what is he going to to do?
Mick's nasty little son is out of the STC
Will he be as bad as Mick, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Debbie's quite ill, she's dumped Ronnie and he's very sad
Kevin's still battling cancer, and he's getting quite bad
Glenda's the new landady of the pub now, and Jenny and Daisy are gone
And Julie has died very suddenly, I hoped she'd go on and on.

(I'm sure there's some more things going on right now, but I've only just woken up after a rough night's sleep.) 😆

Just caught up now. So Lou is busted then? I can't stand her and hope she leaves soon. But at the end of the last episode we had the ghastly and annoying Mick back! 🙄 So now we have more scenes with him and Lou, and the hideous Brodeh!

Also (like some others here) I can't be doing with Shona. Annoying character.

How come there's no scenes in the factreh these days? Or the corner shop? Occasional scenes in Dev's shop, but not 'The Kabin.' Not even seeing the Bistro much (if at all,) and whenever there is a pub scene, all you see is the people in the scene in there. Pre Covid, there were dozens of extras, and other Corrie characters (who are not in the scene but still in the background.)

As I said, Classic Corrie highlights how bad it's become. I hope it improves. The last 2 episodes were OK, but as a few posters have said, a few inconsistencies. And yes, still far too much crime and bad lads/bad girls.

Lou has been arrested & we saw Maria speaking to Nina and telling her it wasn’t her fault (with Shona in the background saying don’t do drugs!) @FeatherDawn so I took that to mean Nina & Summer are off the hook & Lou definitely busted.

I occasionally take part in a You Gov poll. I had one yesterday and didn't open it until I couldn't sleep - to see that it was about Coronation Street. What storylines had I had enough of, which was I interested in, why didn't I like them etc.

I moaned that they should leave Abi and Kev alone, and get them through this problem.
I said I hated the Carl and Abi storyline - and nicked a PP's comment about him being a Chuckle brother.
I said that I was interested in Debbie's dementia but didn't want her to go.
Also hated Brodie/Lou/Mick storylines.
Said that sometimes they seem too focused on 'issues' rather than the entertainment of their audience - in response to a Tod and Theo question.
Questioned whether Deedee and James was an absorbing storyline.

Really interesting as all of the questions related to storylines that had been raised on this thread - so obviously someone somewhere knows that things are not going well.

Just to say that there were other soaps included in the survey - but as I don't watch any other, I didn't take part in them.

So thanks to my thoroughly informed input (from this thread), we should see an improvement in the overall production in about 8 weeks!

One minute they were about to be interviewed separately the next they were in the cafe seemingly off the hook!

The only thing keeping corrie watchable are the older female characters, Debbie, Sally and Jenny, (though Jenny doesn't have much to do at the moment). David is great too, and Maria, Gary Ronnie and George are always watchable. The younger storylines are just crap, and are not appealing to people of any age.

And yes Swain's face is changing, as is Sarah's, I think they are somehow weirdly morphing into each other.

Abi, Carla, Swain, Sarah - they’re all having a bit too much work. Which is a shame as they were all really attractive, and they’re losing the character in their face. I used to think Carla was absolutely beautiful ten years ago. Now she just looks strange to me.

Why is Aggie never mentioned? There is no way she wouldn't have supported Deedee during the Joel fiasco. pregnancy, or birth of her grandchild. I don't think she has even seen the baby.
I realise that the actress has left the show but she could have been recast or at least mentioned. She simply disappeared to look after a random relative never to be seen or heard from again. Sloppy writing.

Is it me that just finds that the character is lost, just the same overfilled bland flat lips face that's everywhere.
Her face, she can do as she wishes of course.

I saw Todd actor speaking Welsh on a soccer thing earlier . I think Todd is far too good for horrible Theo.

I have to agree sadly... Carla's face does look really over-filled, and a bit strange now. As you say, all 4 women have had too much done. Tina O'Brien (Sarah) has always been very pretty/looked young for her age, but now you can see the fillers in her face, and ironically she now looks closer to her age.

Don't know what Swain looked like before, but her face clearly has fillers in it. Abi looks like wax!

True. I found one too. It's hard to find pics of her pre Corrie, decent ones anyway, but I found this one off Twitter from 9 years ago. Again, her face looked 'normal.' She looked nice, and is pretty. Why did she do this to her face? Why do people - moreso women - do this to themselves? It just makes them look odd, and doesn't do what they desire (make them look younger...) As you say the actress Vicky Myers face just looks puffy and bloated now, and she can't smile properly.

I know some people on MN don't like posters commenting on womens looks/'tearing other women down' etc, and I'm not being nasty, honestly.... I just think it's a shame that (some) women feel the need to fill their faces with fillers and botox etc, because they never need it, and rarely look better for it - or younger...

The 4 actresses named (who play Abi, Sarah, Swain, and Carla,) were pretty before - and I just think it's a shame.....

I agree @SabreIsMyFave& Abi in particular looks so overly done to me that it’s so sad. Part of me wishes the producers would tell them to stop (a la Ivy Tilsley / Lynne Perrie) as it looks ridiculous & is making a mockery of their characters!
