Poor Craig met his maker after Mick hurt him bad
He was a bit boring, but I can't help but feel sad
Mick's wife Lou left him, can't blame her quite frankly
He's abusive and repugnant inside and out, and quite manky

Mick wants to see Kit as he knows he slept with Lou
He's got Bernie now, but what is he going to to do?
Mick's nasty little son is out of the STC
Will he be as bad as Mick, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Debbie's quite ill, she's dumped Ronnie and he's very sad
Kevin's still battling cancer, and he's getting quite bad
Glenda's the new landady of the pub now, and Jenny and Daisy are gone
And Julie has died very suddenly, I hoped she'd go on and on.

(I'm sure there's some more things going on right now, but I've only just woken up after a rough night's sleep.) 😆

Yes, he is Maria's brother.

bizzey · 23/05/2025 00:02

OMG !!

Midsummers Night murders (or whatever it is called )
Should be perfect for R Craigy .

Or Father Brown .
He would look after him kindly. X

Isn't Craig on classic a musical actor now?
And Rosie Webster is a celebrity. Whatever that means.

Rosie is regularly in the Manchester newspapers insisting she will be coming back to Corrie, think she is desperate to return. Not sure she will, though.

JewelleryCat · 23/05/2025 08:43

It’s a shame Rosie and Sophie won’t return (not a spoiler, just seems the way it’s going) because they’d surely want to be there to help Kevin through his cancer

Thistooshallpass. · 23/05/2025 08:57

Really annoys me how on big events - births, deaths , marriages they don’t make it realistic and just leaving out any mention of parents , siblings…
Deedee has baby - no sign of Aggie
Craig - dies - no sign of Beth
etc etc
You’d think the budget could run to a one off appearance!

NCTDN · 23/05/2025 09:43

Does anyone else think the naysayer on mick and Lou changed after they’d started ? They were able to go round to chesneys and sit drinking all night. Next thing Lou can’t be in the pub because she’s got to do things for the girls ?

PetaltotheMedal · 23/05/2025 14:55

Watching that interview on This Morning (thank you for posting @SabreIsMyFave ) the clip of Craig's first scene he looked like a right hard wee nut. How did he turn out to be Craig nice but dim?

Colson seems lovely in RL, on the telly.

JellyBeanSpring25 · 23/05/2025 19:16

Just seen another spoiler shared across platforms, announced today 🤦‍♀️

I wonder why ITV release them? It’s not like spoilers drum up new viewers 🤷‍♀️

Men who had success after Corrie continued.

Charlie killed by Tracey Barlow went on to star in Emmerdale.
The guy who played Izzy's dad and was with Gary's mum has been in absolutely loads of TV dramas.
Psycho John Sugden currently in Emmerdale was murdered by Pat Phelan.
Ryan Thomas who played Jason Grimshaw has also had a hugely successful TV career following his time on Celebrity Big Brother where that evil cow Roxanne Pallet falsely accused him of hitting her.

I suppose but I was thinking more of people who had gone to have ‘serious’ acting careers - rather than doing game shows or reality TV or other soaps (not that there’s anything wrong with any of those things!). Like Sabre says the list of women is much longer I think.

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 23/05/2025 21:37

Placemarking

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 23/05/2025 21:49

I wouldn't say Ryan Thomas has had a 'hugely successful' television career

@PrincessScarlett.
The only ex Coronation Street cast members I believe are seen as.decent actors are Suranne Jones, Katherine Kelly and Sarah Lancashire. (I won't include Michelle Keegan as I don't think.she can act.)

suburburban · 23/05/2025 22:06

I suppose Bradley Walsh has done quite well, he does Blankety blank (lol), Dr Who, that travel program with his son and Darling Buds

suburburban · 23/05/2025 22:10

bill Roache has had success on CS as he never has had to go to another acting job😂bit like Leonard Nimoy as Mr Spock if you used to watch Spitting image

strugglingwithlife · 23/05/2025 22:25

Thanks for new thread.
I shed a tear for poor Craigy tonight

Empress13 · 23/05/2025 22:32

Matthew Marsden who played mechanic Chris Collins has done very well

Matthew Marsden is an English and American actor, producer, singer and former model. He has appeared in films such as Black Hawk Down, Helen of Troy, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Tamara, Resident Evil: Extinction, Rambo, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and ^^Atlas Shrugged

Sorry but Lisa marrying Carla is laughable never seen two characters more mismatched!

And Gladiators

And The Chase.

eggandonion · 23/05/2025 23:07

I like Bradley but I didn't like the Darling Buds remake.
Maybe Bobby will encourage Peter to return to Carla and his jigsaws.
Is that the end of awful Mick, will Lou have a personality transplant and have her family mentored by Tim and Sally?
I Know George has a business to run, but perhaps clients who are slightly less local would be good until next year.

ILoveBrum · 23/05/2025 23:28

Bradley Walsh was famous before Corrie, so I don’t think he counts.

GrandTheftWalrus · 24/05/2025 02:45

Did bradders not do a UK version of law and order as well?

He was good in that, slightly seedy.

Freysimo · 24/05/2025 06:25

The editing was a bit off last night with the blood on Lou's face, off in one scene with Tim, then back on again for police interview with Swain. I expect Lou's daughters will end up with Tim and Sally and SS will fast track their fostering application, if one's been made that is.

digiwidgy · 24/05/2025 07:28

Hopefully that’s the end of Mick. Awful character. I wouldn’t mind Lou staying though. There could be space for her going forward. To the poster above who mentioned today’s spoiler, yes why do ITV do it. It really pisses me off. It was the first thing I saw with my coffee this morning.

Yes it was cleaned up and waiting for stitches (which I assume she never got) but then the exact same drip was down her face later.

Middlemarch123 · 24/05/2025 08:06

Agree that Lisa and Carla getting wed is laughable, no chemistry whatsoever. Again poor script writers, “Oh, I’ve got an idea, let’s make Carla gay.” She’s a good actress and it could work with the right same sex partner, but Lisa is woeful.

Thought it was touching when Kirk spoke to Beth, with the dog on his lap.

Continuity was poor, like mentioned, blood on/off/on Lou’s face at different points.

Always thought Bradley Walsh was good in Corrie, but agree that he was BW who was in Corrie, he was well established before he first appeared. Like Maureen Lipman. Sometimes they cast a star who lifts the show.

Thanks for the new thread OP.
