Poor Craig met his maker after Mick hurt him bad
He was a bit boring, but I can't help but feel sad
Mick's wife Lou left him, can't blame her quite frankly
He's abusive and repugnant inside and out, and quite manky

Mick wants to see Kit as he knows he slept with Lou
He's got Bernie now, but what is he going to to do?
Mick's nasty little son is out of the STC
Will he be as bad as Mick, I guess we'll have to wait and see

Debbie's quite ill, she's dumped Ronnie and he's very sad
Kevin's still battling cancer, and he's getting quite bad
Glenda's the new landady of the pub now, and Jenny and Daisy are gone
And Julie has died very suddenly, I hoped she'd go on and on.

(I'm sure there's some more things going on right now, but I've only just woken up after a rough night's sleep.) 😆

I don't think Carla will marry Lisa. This will be a will she won't she for the next 10 months.

Bradley Walsh was famous before Corrie, so I don’t think he counts.

Shame 😀

tbh I only remembered him in Corrie and didn’t realise he was famous before

MmeChoufleur · 24/05/2025 09:28

Surely if an officer is injured/killed in the line of duty, the police would immediately contact their next of kin? Why didn’t Swain ring Beth? Did they just say “Don’t worry, we’ll just leave it to the gormless ex to inform the next of kin of the colleague who has been murdered”?

eggandonion · 24/05/2025 09:33

I'd Imagine some officers from the local police force would have called on Beth, and Kirk and Peanut and Daniel and Bertie would have gone in a previously unseen car to be with her.

JellyBeanSpring25 · 24/05/2025 09:46

So that’s the end of Mick I guess. If Lou stays, I assume Brody will become the ‘bad boy’ on the street. Did he and Mason cross paths in the STC? Wish Mason was still round.

Asha is always on the right shift to help a Street resident isn’t she?

I hope Carla turns Lisa down and Bobby brings Peter back from where he and Simon are!

I wish they’d done this!

stampin · 24/05/2025 10:28

No police officers sent immediately to a murdered colleague's next of kin?

Really? This would never happen.

Lorrymum · 24/05/2025 10:45

Is Carla divorced from Peter?

JellyBeanSpring25 · 24/05/2025 11:39

Lorrymum · 24/05/2025 10:45

Is Carla divorced from Peter?

Yes. The papers came through the post, there was a scene with Ryan handing the envelope over to Carla with a sympathetic look!

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 24/05/2025 11:56

Would this be Carla’s 6th marriage? She’s giving Gail and Steve a run for their moneys!

speaking of which I was laughing at Classic Corrie the other day when Gail said she was finished with marriage etc. she’s only half way through them!

TellingBone · 24/05/2025 11:57

Brody will get redeemed by Tim and Sally like Mason. Then he'll marry Lauren but he'll revert to type and end up brown bread on some waste ground

SabreIsMyFave · 24/05/2025 13:06

Yeah, last night's episode was good, and like a pp, I did feel quite sad at Craig's demise/death. I think I feel sad because the actor Colson Smith is so genuinely nice and he really didn't want to leave, so I feel sorry for him.

Poor Kirky. Probably the best scene/best acting he's done in years! He's usually just the village idiot. As has been said though, it will make zero sense if Beth doesn't come along. She's his mum, and Craig is her only child.

Love how Mick dropped himself in it by using Brody as an alibi, when Brody had been in the police station (cells) all day. 😆

I am quite liking Lou, and it looks like she is also a victim of the vile Mick. Amazing how ugly and vile he is, yet the actor (Joe Layton) is quite good looking/attractive. How do they do that? 😆 Same with Cilla in Classic Corrie. Grim looking bulldog of a woman, but Wendi Peters who plays her is pretty, with a vibrant smiley face. Sorcery! 🧙🏼‍♀️

Oh, and I also agree that Carla and Swain together just doesn't work. One of the worst storylines for years. I find (Lisa) Swain quite bland and dull, yet on Twitter/X, people seem to be obsessed with her. And they love her and Carla together, and keep posting #SwarlaForever 🙄

Bit young for Lauren (he’s 16) but I can see him getting with Betsy!

Exactly as if it would be left to Kirk.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 24/05/2025 13:49

The scene with them all watching Craig die and then kirk shouting at asha to do something was ridiculous. Also would people really be allowed to barge in and hug a dead body?

bizzey · 24/05/2025 13:51

I always thought in suspected murder /suspicious death no one can touch the body as forensic evidence is needed .

But that could be just dramatic effects from Casualty 🤣!

HaddyAbrams · 24/05/2025 14:02

Whilst it was totally unbelievable that Kirk would phone Beth (from the pub of all places!) Rather than the police letting Beth know, that scene absolutely broke me.

maimeo · 24/05/2025 14:22

I hate all these references t Kirk being the “village idiot” - surely an outdated, most unacceptable term in this day and age. I think he’s a lovable character, and his naivety and enthusiasm for life is quite endearing.

Fatrosrhun · 24/05/2025 14:23

I was already rolling my eyes when a distraught Kirk was being led into the pub on returning from the hospital.

They could have someone else playing Cilla at the funeral- just plonk a big black hat on someone blonde and have them leaning on someone while sitting in the front pew. We don’t have to see the face. Just one anguished “my Craigy” as she gets led out by Kirk with a hanky to her face. And someone could ask how she was at the wake - “she’s found it all too upsetting and has gone back…”

Beth, not Cilla.

My money's on Beth being involved in an accident on the way to the funeral, serious enough to explain her absence.

NCTDN · 24/05/2025 15:52

At least Beth has been mentioned!

Well yeah... Hopefully she pops up. Even for one episode would be OK.

Fatrosrhun · 25/05/2025 10:26

Sorry, I meant Beth.

Deadringer · 25/05/2025 10:53

Perhaps they will have a huge funeral with Beth at the heart of it, no expense spared, guard of honour etc, but off screen and we just hear about it in the pub after.
