I was on homes under the hammer
I'd gone to work as normal and I did see a whole camera crew just outside, but didn't give it much of a thought as they'd been doing a lot about the homeless in and around the city around that time
I'd gone outside (out of sheer boredom) and did a bit of sweeping up to look busy
Didn't give it a thought until a few weeks later and was watching the end of it until the next programme came on
There I am,sweeping up in the side of the frame while the voice-over gives it large about the tudor building next to us is 'the largest tudor building that is left in the uk' (I've left there now)
Gave us a laugh
Unfortunately, when the Southport riots where going on,I was watching the news and saying to dp 'I've sat on that bench' and 'I've been in that shop to buy dd some slippers' when I saw a familiar face
My ex (who was a disgusting racist, but that only came out once we'd broken up-i swear there had been no signs,to my face anyway) was marching about,Hitler style while screaming about 'getting the xxx's out'
I'm ashamed I ever went near him and I knew he was (now) a disgusting racist but to see his hate on screen, simply because of someone's skin colour (none of this was about 3 beautiful little girls-it was hate and an excuse for it to come to the fore) was the most foul thing I've ever seen (I can't put into words exactly how I feel as I'd get banned)
I hope the scales fall from his familes eyes (they think hes right) and I really hope the courts catch up with him and throw the whole library at him
