Been a 2year wait

Season 2 will follow Dr James Ford, played by Those About to Die (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/those-about-to-die-review/)'s Tom Hughes.

He finds himself under investigation after getting himself "caught between an anxious new mother’s postnatal check-up and the sectioning of a psychotic patient" in a North Yorkshire hospital, according to the show's synopsis.

The synopsis also ask
s: "Is Dr Ford a doctor with a God complex, or a victim himself?"

This season of the ITV drama will welcome a near-completely new cast, (https://www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/malpractice-season-2-itv-cast-confirmed-newsupdate/) including Selin Hizli (Am I Being Unreasonable?) and Zoë Telford (Red Eye).

Other new additions to the ensemble are Hannah McClean (Blue Lights) and Seraphina Beh (Top Boy) amongst a whole host of new faces.

However, some fan favourites are set to return, with Norma Callahan (Helen Behan) and George Adjei (Jordan Kouamé) confirmed to reprise their roles as part of the Medical Investigation Unit for another season.

The announcement came from ITV, who said of the new series ahead of its release: "As George and Norma uncover a hospital seemingly at war with itself, to what lengths will James go to preserve his position?

"Can the MIU uncover the truth of what happened despite fierce opposition from all sides?"

Yes , how come Dr Mansoor wasn't mentioned as well as Sawyers . He was going above Hernandez and later saying it was his decision for a cesarean when it had been her suggestion , as she knew forceps delivery was no longer viable.

A very good drama but scary .

Yes I had hoped we would have heard about arun being fired

I really enjoyed Kate finding out she didn’t have her dream job.

Quite liked this, bit silly but kept me watching.

Why did his sister live in such a huge house and why did he live with them when he couldn't stand the bf?

How did Kate get the sectioning set up on someone who wasn't even her patient?! Do we presume she will have been disciplined for that odd little stunt.

So awful to see how easily things can be covered up in the nhs. I know it's a drama but still.

I'm not keen on James. His stooped shuffling and one facial expression was a bit dull.

Also how come his 3 colleagues all seemed to suddenly like him at his hearing Confused.

I think they always did like him.to be honest. Seemed to. As for why he was living with his sister. Could it be something to do with the change of job.as in he had to move when he changed. There was some talk about him finding a place.

I think it was implied that Kate would be struck off.

'I think they always did like him.to be honest. Seemed to'
They all seemed to roll their eyes whenever he was around but then at the hearing were clapping and grinning. Just seemed a bit of a turnaround to me, Precious had understandably been quite disgusted with his fling with Kate and not being told she was transferring a high risk patient but it was all forgotten!

AuroraCake · 05/06/2025 19:27

Did they? They'd isn't like Kate. Thought she was useless.
