Anyone else watching? It’s brilliant - so funny. Game show format with some great comedians on

Yes! Started watching last night. DH had suggested watching it but I initially wasn’t keen. I soon changed my mind. It’s hilarious! I love how those watching with Jimmy are cracking up laughing whilst in the house they are trying to keep a straight face. Some of the faces pulled while trying not to laugh are great!

Fraudornot · 21/03/2025 21:46

It does make you think about why people are funny. Bob Mortimer just seems to exist and be funny.

Dd and I have watched all 4 current episodes over the last two evenings, it's very funny.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/03/2025 22:36

Yes I’m really enjoying this. Lou Sanders is chaotic but Richard is my favourite

FrenchandSaunders · 22/03/2025 17:19

Watching now, hilarious 🤣

CoffeeandWalnuts · 22/03/2025 22:32

I've watched 3 episodes, absolutely crying with laughter. Jimmy Carr had tears streaming down his face too. Bob's magic tricks oh my god.

GauntJudy · 22/03/2025 22:34

I watched them all today. Loved it. Looking forward to the last 2 being released on Thursday.

I was trying not to laugh and couldn't, dunno how they've managed.

AGroovyKindOfLove · 22/03/2025 22:47

I stumbled across it today and only watched because of Bob Mortimer being in it. What a randomly brilliant thing it is watching people desperately trying not to laugh. Daisy's face looks so pained!

Costacoffeeplease · 22/03/2025 23:45

We’ve just watched the first three eps and I don’t know when I last heard my husband laugh so much. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Lottapianos · 23/03/2025 14:23

'It does make you think about why people are funny. Bob Mortimer just seems to exist and be funny.'

It's so interesting, isn't it? I agree that Bob Mortimer is one of those people who is just funny even when not doing very much at all. He does that fishing show with Paul Whitehouse, who is a very funny performer, but I don't find him amusing at all when he's just being himself. I can't put my finger on what's different about them in that way

NecklessMumster · 23/03/2025 14:26

Yes! Binged the 4 available episodes last night without meaning to as was laughing so much, didn't know had to wait til Thurs for the other 2 episodes. Was initially sceptical it would work but loved it

"Sshhhhhh! It's just magic" Grin I do not know how any of them held it together when Bob stuck his face through that hoola hoop and said this 😂

Pemba · 23/03/2025 15:35

I would give it a go, but it's Jimmy Carr hosting? Bleurgh.

Same! We were in bits 🤣 I had forgotten how funny Bob Mortimer is. His look to Judi when he sat on the chair, too. Her laugh is also brilliant - so infectious.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 23/03/2025 16:34

Bob Mortimer’s “songs” to Daisy May Cooper were so good amazing to be able to come up with all that on the spot!

murasaki · 23/03/2025 18:35

I don't know how Daisy survived Bob's songs, especially when he was following her round with the lap top like a modern day troubadour.

I was actually crying at some points. Bring in Thursday!

Try to park that, he's not centre stage and it's worth it.

Fitzcarraldo353 · 23/03/2025 18:39

I watched a few episodes of the Irish version of this and just couldn't get on with it even though it had some brilliant people on it.
Has anyone watched both for comparison?

AMouseThereOnTheStair · 23/03/2025 18:47

Daisy May Cooper was unable to hold herself in when she was on Taskmaster I noticed. She was crying with laughter on almost every segment.

Fraudornot · 23/03/2025 20:25

They were all sitting around and Bob said shall we talk about sausage dogs and there little legs. I just burst out laughing and they all walked away. He is just so funny

I lost control early on when Bob asked Rob if he has a kitchen island

Decapitatedsausage · 23/03/2025 20:49

Loved this so much, I’m giggling at all your comments as it’s reminded me just how funny it was. Feels like ages since a show where I laughed like this! I hope they release more seasons, so good for the soul!

I watched the Aussie version back during Covid. We also watched the Canadian version and made it a few episodes into the Irish version.

the Aussie one was fantastic - but Aussies have a very similar sense of humour to Brits. The Canadian one was so-so. I didn’t like the host, Jay Bacherel - every other word was “fuck” - I swear a lot but he made danny dyer seem modest.

I think we only watched a few eps of the Irish one.

the Brit one is the best - they seem to have a huger calibre of comedians (bob mortimer). This one has absolutely FLOORED me

daisys face contortions are truly terrifying

Phase2 · 23/03/2025 21:19

I’m really enjoying it but weirdly out of sync with the Bob love, have always found Vic and Bob completely unfunny. Lou is weird, can’t work out what she would do on stage.

Fitzcarraldo353 · 23/03/2025 21:26

Thanks @itsnotabouthepasta . Interesting to hear the differences between various series around the world.

I'll give this one a go. Would be great to have a programme that properly makes us howl, the way Taskmaster did years ago.
