Dropping soon…starting thread in anticipation of many toe curling lifestyle guru treats with a total absence of irony and self awareness…!

Didn’t she say in her last Netflix show that she was banned from wearing colours when a working royal and had to wear muted tones which she hated and it wasn’t her thing? Funny how all I ever see her in now is muted tones including this show and on the Drew Barrymore show.

I mean I find it hard to believe that a group of people who get called upon to close curtains for someone sitting next to the curtains, who get shouted at because they haven't put a grown man's teddies in order, have to pick up the gloves of someone who has deliberately dropped them and have to watch as the person they told to go to another gate gets their range rover and rams into said gates, were crying in the corner because they were sent emails at 5am! We only know about the other stuff because it's Andrew and he's no longer protected. He was behaving like this for years. No one in his family, not his mother, not his father, not his ex wife or children pulled him up on it and told him to pack it in. Maybe Palace staff find it easier to be treated like shit by Blood Royals than by some Mixed race American? Who knows?

Why would you attempt to minimise the impact on the dozens of witnesses and victims of bullying and harassment who each have given their personal testimonies over the years - which indicate MM's consistent and peristent appalling behaviour before and after her brief time at BP on both sides of the pond.

If you read each of the separate investigations you will find that these are also her staff in the US - one who spoke up was a current senior employee. There is no need for anyone to treat another human being in such an abusive and detrimental way.

FanofLeaves · 07/03/2025 09:54

And let’s not forget the actual corroborated account of the Queen baking to remind her ‘that is not how we speak to people’ when she was berating someone over the menu tasting for the wedding.

FanofLeaves · 07/03/2025 10:36

‘Having to’ remind her obviously!

it’s quite obvious even from various accounts that she has a horrid way of speaking to people she deems as inferior.

The Delfina episode of WL,M I felt was quite telling. I thought she was quite obviously intimidated by Delfina, who had grace, beauty and something very genuine about her. MM didn’t like it, it bubbles out of her the whole episode. A little insight perhaps as to how she was towards Catherine POW.

springishereeeee · 07/03/2025 12:32

Meghan is basically Amanda from Motherland/Amandaland.

Treeleaf11 · 07/03/2025 12:39

Mindy Kalling's new comedy series Running Point is at number 2 in the NF most watched. Above WLM at 6.

I hadn't heard of MK before but she has done a huge amount, not sure why she was fawning so much over MM.

The Alice Waters interaction was similarly awkward.

Alice Waters is really famous in California and the fan girling Meghan did was off the charts ridiculous.

Standard MO of grandiose and delusional narcs "Kiss-up, Kick-down" - lovebomb the target with ingratiating, sychophantic behaviour when you need their status to aggrandise your own (see also use of Gloria Steinham) and then kick-down on and subjugate those assumed as lesser than them or having no resource to elevate them - or whom they percieve as a threat - to exposing their faux and fragile egos.

foghead · 07/03/2025 16:34

It's such an odd show. It had a lot of potential and started off well. The filming of the bees and hive at the beginning was lovely.
Then it went downhill.
There wasn't enough from her guests. There wasn't much interaction. Meghan just harped on about how she did these wonderfully easy things. Fair enough.
The guests, sorry friends, should've spoken more about themselves and what they're up to, instead of constantly fawning "Meghan you're so amazing, wonderful and clever to be able to do this!"

Toothehorn · 07/03/2025 17:37

Looks like Meghan show might have been a direct lift of Pamela Anderson’s TV show “Pamela’s cooking with love”, the blatant copying is uncanny.

A side by side comparison:

@Katherina198819

It's massively unobtainable for someone living on benefits.

True, but let's not pretend that most people are on benefits.

For me, it is not about the fancy ingredients but rather about making things from scratch.

Unfortunately, poor people are more likely to eat ultra processed, unhealthy food. This is not necessarily due to the cost - it's about the lack of knowledge of how to make things from scratch.
For example, Meghan shows how to make doughnuts; it is so much cheaper to make it home, yet people think it is something that only rich people can afford.

It's about lifestyle and mindset. You don't have to buy fancy, eatable flower garnish to make a simple, hommade food.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 07/03/2025 21:16

Well, actually they might be.

"Analysis by Civitas of Office for National Statistics (ONS) data from 2020-21 showed a record 54.2% of people (36 million) now live in households which received more in benefits than they contributed in taxes. This includes non-cash benefits such as NHS and education services.23 Jan 2023"

That's shocking. No wonder the country is in so much trouble.

She didn’t make doughnuts 🤣 she produced some anaemic concoction from the oven; the chef couldn’t put it down quick enough

Proper doughnuts are deep fried, surely?

Then rolled in sugar and filled with raspberry jam (jam, not spread) that oozes out when you bite into it....

Yes, proper ones are deep fried, but I always bake them too.
I don't feel that much difference in taste, to be honest. The smell of the oil, the hassle to clean it up, is just not worth it for me.

JMSA · 08/03/2025 16:27

Little Miss Perfect. I'd have liked her more if she got up with her hair like a burst sofa and the remnants of yesterday's make-up on and said 'fruit rainbows? Fuck that. Mummy's hungover and can't be arsed, so it's Pop Tarts for breakfast all round'.

But see, I feel bad for even writing that now, because I'm a cynical Scot and she's a happy-clappy American.

JMSA · 08/03/2025 16:42

jeffgoldblum · 04/03/2025 23:39

She likes people blowing smoke up her ass obviously!

Totally!
Hope they had lots of baby wipes to hand for all the brown noses Grin

JandamiHash · 09/03/2025 16:41

One thing I forgot - Meghan behaving like a balloon pump was a revolutionary item 😂 rather than something that’s been available since the 1980’s.

MissRoseDurward · 09/03/2025 19:19

Longer than that - I'm sure they were around in the '60s.

JorgyPorgy · 09/03/2025 19:27

There was a bit where she’s emphasising a bit too much that the cake is beautiful on the inside, it feels like she really wants her audience to believe that about her. This show is about getting people to like her maybe?
Bee keeper guy seems surprised she’s being nice to him ( offering him some honey) . Perhaps because cameras are on.
I have watched first two episodes, it’s an easy watch / background tele.

JandamiHash · 09/03/2025 19:31

I did quite enjoy the ladybird (and it is ladybird not ladybug if Americans have adapted the English language it’s usually wrong Meghan and Mindy) things. They looked tasty. Not that my kids would give a shit if I made it for them 🤣

tothelefttotheleft · 09/03/2025 22:09

There is no way you can make those doughnuts at home for less than doughnuts cost in the shops. You really have no idea of the reality of lots of peoples lives.

Yes, you are right.
All the overweight people who queuing in line at Krispy Kreme are about to drop dead of starvation.
