The White Lotus - series three - starts February 17th

The Emmy-award winning HBO original series, which offers an inside look at the powerful and wealthy as they navigate complex personal dynamics and face potentially dangerous experiences while on vacation, returns for its third season this month.

"Seeking peace can be a trip," reads the tagline for this season, which was created, written and directed by former "Survivor" contestant Mike White.
This time around, viewers will be whisked away to an "exclusive" resort in Thailand, where an eclectic group of guests and resort employees will play, and likely misbehave, over the span of a week. "The White Lotus" Season 3 guests include a wealthy businessman and his family, three longtime friends who haven't seen each other in a while on a girls' trip and "rugged man with a chip on his shoulder" and his girlfriend, among others.

Anyone else looking forward to this? Starts on Monday and will be shown on Now and Sky. No watching on demand as all episodes will be dropped weekly.

Yes … It does seem as if Rick might have a personal, rather than professional, interest in Sritala‘s husband / partner.

But the robbery! Poor Gaitok really must be as daft as he thinks he is, to be so easily distracted from his security duty by Valentin. No doubt he’ll start to work things out slowly - and then attempt some desperate heroics to impress Mook.

Also at least one of the reviews I read suggests not just Greg but also Chloe were probably involved in the heist - she by scoping out the gift shop and, from the changing room, letting Greg know the coast was clear. I did like Rick’s perspicacious assessment of Greg and Chloe’s relationship.

So there is a plot gradually evolving.

Oh yes - somewhere else there was comment on the Ratliff siblings being the bearers of metaphor. The promo photo of the three of them - dark glasses, earphones, bottle to lips suggesting the three wise monkeys: see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil …

And … Though it’s hard to comprehend - the possibility that it might be the omnipresent (real) monkeys who carry out the shooting …

Yes something suspicious but I didn’t get the hitman suggestion… will watch with interest to see how this develops!

I agree that Rick's motives in seeking out the hotel owner's husband seem to have shifted to the personal, rather than business/hitman.

Valentin distracted Gaitok deliberately, right?

ome thing i was never sure aout with Greg, was he always a con man from the beginning? or did he meet Jennifer Coolidge character as shown in S1, marry her because she was rich, then get involved in the plot to kill her with the gay guys in S2. Or was the whole thing a long con?

Robbery was def a set up and got distracted easily by motorbike guy Valentin - tho who he is ?

I think it was a long con.

Greg met her when he “accidentally” mistook her hotel room for his own. In hindsight that seems a clearly planned meeting.

I think she recognised him as a familiar face that she couldn't quite place.

Or she recognised him from Maui but then doubted herself.

I guess she feels it makes her look a bit different from so many other young actresses.

I like her teeth they definitely add character! She said she was surprised to book any work as she thought her teeth would hold her back.

Maybe I'm being unfair, but it's not grabbing me as much as Seasons 1 and 2 did. I shall persevere though.

Like a pp, I miss Jennifer Coolidge's quirky and spoiled but unhappy Tanya. Such a unique character! I remember her hitting her head (and dying.?) in S2 in Italy. She was definitely dead was she? Would be a nice surprise if she turned up in this somehow!
