Thought the end game was a big anti-climax compared to S1 & 2. Of the final 4, only Jake deserved to win IMO as he had at least shown some insight and deduction during the series. Leanne did not deserve to win, she contributed nothing to the detection of Traitors, and seemed really unpleasant - far too quick to aggressively confront anyone who mentioned her name. She only got so far because people were scared of her.

Couldn’t bear Frankie, she was useless and turning on the tears at a drop of a hat was pathetic. Was so glad she got banished. I know Alexander is MN’s obsession but again, he contributed very little to the game throughout so didn’t deserve to win.

Overall, I found this season a bit disappointing compared to the first 2 seasons.

It could be argues that hat was entirely her gameplay, and that because it worked, she deserved to win. Basically just shouting a lot, accusing people all over the place and then being completely hypocritical when people did the same to her, but with such force that she was barely challenged. Fair play to her for that. She won.

OnlyWhenILaugh · 25/01/2025 08:27

People are using 'deserve to win' in the context of how the individual played the game, not the person's life history. @fingerbobz

It's a gameshow not a charity application. The viewers like the backstories and the producers rely on us engaging with the players to keep watching.

Coldanddamp · 25/01/2025 08:29

@OnlyWhenILaugh exactly

Drivingoverlemons · 25/01/2025 08:30

The seer thing took the fun out of the end for me. The penultimate episode was true drama but even then, it was obvious Freddie was out, so predictable. Then it was obvious Charlotte would go.

Jake was smart but I wouldn’t say he particularly deserved to win. I didn’t like the way Leanne shouted people down and made everything about her. After Alexander left - who I felt deserved a win - I didn’t really care who won. Frankie took the Charlotte thing way too personally on a game that is literally about lying.

Lentilweaver · 25/01/2025 08:30

Are we really arguing that people who.love their chilldren and hsve the saddest back stories or the best use for the money deserve to win? Surely everyone loves their children. ( Of course Frankie loves hers the most!)

Lentilweaver · 25/01/2025 08:32

@Zanatdy try Aus S 1 or NZ S 1. Both are good.

When it was down to the last five, I was very aware of the male/female divide. I'd have been happier for Jake and Alexander to share the win: they both just played the game without making it bitch and personal.

Leanne seems a right bitch: she constantly doubted Alexander but was enraged if he said the same things back to her.

Frankie was so wet and passive most of the game but the way she went for Charlotte (who in fairness had been a faithful most of the game and had only recently been recruited as a traitor) was awful.
'I swear as a mummy' ffs. And the vicious way she asked Charlotte why she wanted to win so much that she was pretending the seer table episode had gone differently- erm, Frankie, it's a GAME. Which you entered as well, because you all want to get to the final and win. The final straw was 'I don't like drama, I don't need it!' Then stick to the day job love, don't volunteer yourself for a prime time tv show where the whole point is to hide your identity and shaft other people.

The seer thing was shit, very stupid to stick that in near the end of the game so that people who've played well so far just randomly get stuffed.

I didn’t like Jake much but an Alexander-Jake win would have been fair. I couldn’t see Alexander and Jake ever being allies though. Alexander comes across as in touch with his feminine side; Jake definitely not!

Merrilydancing · 25/01/2025 08:04

I liked Jake and glad that he won. I did also want Frankie and Alexander to win but they also kept the banishments going and paid for it by getting voted out.

Yes there was not a single vote to end the game. So much unused green powder!

Coldanddamp · 25/01/2025 08:34

She’s more likely to be furious that people think that and call them nasty rather than look at herself.

She probably does have the thick skin needed as everyone else will be wrong & there will be no self reflection. Whereas I think Charlotte will struggle more however she didn't win so people wiont be as judgy vs if she did win.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 25/01/2025 08:34

yes, a traitor would have voted to end the game early

YesYesKitten · 25/01/2025 08:35

Disappointing ending. Agree Minah's excellence should have been mentioned I'm Uncloaked rather than harping on about Linda.

I would have loved Fozia to have won for her straight-talking, and Kas for his kindness.

Didn't like Leanne's attitude towards Alexander and Jake was non-descript.

grace2025 · 25/01/2025 08:37

I still love Alexander but he did struggle to get his point across and seems to say things in a very round about way so do understand a little why they didn't seem to trust him!

grace2025 · 25/01/2025 08:38

Think they are just ott nice about Linda because she is older and so hopeless. It is annoying as she was rubbish!!

Coldanddamp · 25/01/2025 08:40

It's interesting how people read situations so differently. I do think Frankie was passive & avoided confrontation so for me her gameplay at the end was in keeping for her. I don't see how she "went" for C who made it quite clear when the envelope was burned how she was going to play it. And I didn't see her asking "why she wanted to win so bad" as vicious but perhaps we have different understandings of the word.

I wonder if Claudia liked Linda more than Minah and that influenced the final Uncloaked interviews? I think Minah was far more interesting and a much better player.

lolly792 · 25/01/2025 08:55

@Coldanddamp it just felt like Frankie made it very personal. Leanne had done the same all the way through, getting personally enraged if anyone dared to doubt her. And then Frankie behaved in a similar way to Charlotte after the Seer episode. I mean 'why do you want it so badly?'was a ridiculous question to ask any other player - they had all chosen to enter the contest. And Charlotte had already said at the dinner table when they were given the special meal that she wanted the money for ivf. It just felt to me like Frankie was seething that Charlotte spun what had happened at the Seer reveal. What did she expect? That Charlotte would just agree, Yeap I'm a traitor?!

My preference would have been Jake and Alexander to win because it felt like they used their brains the most, didn't personalise things at all, just accepted they were in a game. Which to be fair Charlotte did, but it was obviously game over once the Seer thing happened (they need to bin that if there's a series 4. Stupid addition)
Leanne got lucky in winning with Jake because she didn't play a good game imo, just got bitchy and shouty.

CarefulN0w · 25/01/2025 08:59

Leanne knew she was faithful and so defended herself aggressively strongly. Which is fair enough, but it's a shame she didn't have enough emotional intelligence to realise that other faithful were in the same position.

Someone upthread suggested she is quite vulnerable and I'm inclined to agree. She obviously joined the army young and has been used to other people's decisions. She thinks she is strategic but really isn't and couldn't cope with Alexander's unemotional rational thinking.

I also didn't mind the seer twist. If Frankie had chosen Alexander - or another faithful, it could have been a different outcome.

xsquared · 25/01/2025 09:00

@Fountofwisdom
I'm not obsessed with Alexander but I disagree with your comment about him contributing very little to the game.

He was fully immersed in all the challenges he participated in. Creepy dolls singing, lifting pillars running up a hill, pooling coins so that he could give it to Frankie in the hope that she'd pick him - which backfired sadly.

He was also spot on when he clocked Charlotte as a traitor but it didn't seem to go anywhere after that as the attention was on Freddie at the time.

Coming in late meant that people had already formed bonds, so he didn't really have any allies, making it harder for him to win anyway.

The seer power was wasted on Frankie. I wanted Leanne to get it to confirm she was wrong about Alexander.

I'm indifferent to Leanne and Jake winning. She doesn't deserve the horrible SM comments though.

Or more likely it's just how she is!

I know the game is largely tilted towards a Traitor victory, but i hated the Seer element. Charlotte was a brilliant Traitor and would have no doubt won otherwise which would imo have been a more interesting and exciting final (tbh happy for whoever won didn't have a favourite but just gameplay wise).

I agree. Leanne strikes me as someone who can’t argue her case by rational thinking so is going to shout and intimidate others instead. She feels and expresses emotion very intensely and projects this outwards. She would find Alexander’s self-assuredness and quiet confidence intimidating, I’m sure, which maybe explains why she reacts with such hostility towards him. In short, she’s a bully who will surround herself with people who either love her or are afraid of her.
