Chronic bedwetting can also be a sign of abuse. There was nothing normal about that family.

I don’t think in a 6 year old. My oldest wasn’t dry through the night until he was 5 or 6. From the time he was toilet trained he would still wet through the night and that continued until 5 or 6.

pooballs · 29/11/2024 21:50

Are there any balanced documentaries or podcasts? From what I’ve seen they all seem to pick a very clear angle and present the story in that way.

It can be. No one said all children who wet the wet are being abused.

No. The other half of the paintbrush was found with Patsy's art supplies in the basement. Along with chips/splinters from where it was broken apart.

The paintbrush was broken in three.

The Colorado Bureau of investigation analyzed and confirmed that the wooden stick used with the ligature rope is, in fact, the paint brush handle from the broken paint brush from the painting supply tray a critical second piece of weapon evidence that came from within the house. It was also noted that a portion of the paint brush handle, appearing to be from the top, is unaccounted for. No fingerprints were ever found on any portion of the paintbrush.

From the Bonita papers. My bolding of relevant part.

Very odd. I can't help but think the family had something to do with it.
The mum in the same clothes and make up as the previous day so she'd been up all night?
The ransom note with the exact bonus amount
The 911 call with them talking to Burke at the end

Burke seems the main perpetrator but could a 9 year old do that? The hitting of the head yes but the strangulation ?

The woman on the Horaldo show going on about the saxophone was bonkers!

She was nuts!

Westfacing · 30/11/2024 09:06

Did the mother ever explain why she was still in the previous night's clothes and make-up?

And was that even a fact, or just something that has done the rounds like the non-existent snow?

ChristmasWitchy · 30/11/2024 09:07

And I honestly I don't think I'd phone the police. I'd pay the ransom

I began listening to the Crime Junkies podcast. It's long but seems balanced so far. Does make a point of mentioning thar there was no clear evidence of sexual abuse.

i think there is so much information available that most podcasts can't mention it all.

I am afraid it is, in any age child.

That doesn't mean every chronic bedwetter is abused but it can be a symptom of abuse.

The oddity is the note, but I guess if someone was already in the house when they got home, if he had been there a few hours there would have been plenty of time

Plenty of time to realise what a stupid idea it was! What genuine kidnapper leaves a note like that with pages of nannyish fussing (be well-rested) and Hollywood tropes (a small foreign faction)? The note is batshit, and all I can think is that someone wrote it in a highly panicked state as part of a cover up.

The man that was seen by the housekeeper in the Ramseys garage prior to the murder, who knew details that were never released, and who claims he did it was totally bonkers! According to him, he had been in the house for hours had plenty of time to write a crazy note!!

The poor mum was involved in. I feel horrible that she did without being brought to justice.

And you know that because???

There was snow out the front. You can see it in photos taken that morning. Around where the grate and window in question were there was no snow, or it had melted by the time they were looking around for signs of entry.

One of the other documentaries had kids Burke's age hitting a (fake) head/skull with a heavy torch and indeed they did cause the same type of fracture.

Yes, where did the idea that the mother was wearing the same clothes come from?

Yes, where did the idea that the mother was wearing the same clothes come from?

I’m sure I read that she claimed she’d just put the clothes back on from the night before because they were the closest to hand.
I can’t remember if this was before or after “finding the note”. It should be relatively easy to find the information though.

Pootle40 · 30/11/2024 18:32

Yes it's an undisputed fact she was wearing the same clothes as Christmas Day (I'm not talking underwear but same top/trousers).

He couldn't have done it, he was proven to be in a different state at the time. I think it was shocking that so much time in the documentary was given to his sick fantasies, you just know other men like him love to hear that stuff, and ultimately it was pointless because he's been ruled out. Disgusting. Incidentally that person is now living as a woman apparently. I just hope he doesn't have access to children

Maybe, but some kids are just not dry at night for years ,there is a hormone thst kicks in that helps and sometimes that doesn't happen untill later for some children, if it was just bedwetting I wouldn't think it was a huge problem, if she waa also having wetting incidents during the day and she was otherwise developing normally ,than I would have concerns.

You can buy night time pull ups for kids up to 15 In supermarkets so for some kids it can just be a delay funnily enough I have a Disabled child who was dry at night for years before he stopped wearing nappies during the day the hormone kicked in well before his cognitive ability did ,it might be a sign but then lots of things csn be.

Why do you think she soiled the bed?
There isn't even conclusive evidence that she wet the bed.

I attached a screen shot of a book where it quotes the maid’s statement to the police
