It'll depend on her contract, she may know she's the standby emergency female.

I think I read on AN Other forum that a precedent had been set with another contestant (Alex Scott?) that the pro who steps in is the last eliminated pro of the right sex so it would likely be Karen rather than Lauren. Possibly because benched pros are doing other things whereas the partnered pro has kept their diary free in case the celeb progressed.

I love Lauren but I think it's possible that she'd be too tall for JB.

Oh totally. All the tenderness and vulnerability was lost in her big diva voiced version.

Loved Pete this week, thought he was really good and totally suited the character. He acted it very well.

Wynne was awful. A PP on the last thread who said it was "lumbering" was spot on. He was overmarked - no way was he as good as either Shayne or Sam. Mind you Katya is amazing and looked hot hot hot as a red She Devil so maybe that got some votes.

I did think JB had some really lovely footwork, very good indeed. But I agree that their dance was rather forgettable.

I've not loved Tasha so far but that was brilliant, technically and for fun.

Shayne makes me uncomfortable. I'm not sure what it is. The VT was cringey. Him saying he hoped the public liked him was cringey. His seriousness seems out of place in a fun show. I did like the dance, the choreo, and Nancy's makeup!

Jamie was hugely overmarked AGAIN.

As was Sarah. Ugh I didn't like that AT. It's too soon, they don't have the skills, she was thrown around like a sack of wet tatties. That first lift off the bed made me wince, it was so bad. Her overhead kick was awful. Vito is gloriously handsome but even that couldn't save it for me. Looking back at the AT with Ellie and its worlds better. I've seen similar dances given 8s. The scoring this year is ludicrous.

Well done Sam, so far out her comfort zone but I thought she did very well.

I voted one each for Shayne, Sam and Punam. Even though it didn't help save poor Punam. I'd have preferred Wynne to go.

Bruno Mars definitely is an icon saw him live he’s amazing!
Right decision, Shane danced his heart out and I didn’t click with Punam Shane’s a better dancer than Wynne too.
Really hope Amy is ok.

Nah, me neither, but I love Vito & think he & Sarah really work well as a couple.

Just thinking, there have been hardly any Charlestons so far this year.

I’ve enjoyed their dances up to now but that one was a no for me.

On Lauren's instagram she has last minute cancelled a dance class tomorrow due to 'unforeseen circumstances' so it's possible she is standing in for Amy, even just for a day or so

I'm firmly in the camp of not doing the ridiculous Sunday night charade! I went years ago (2008, at the White City studio) and back then they prerecorded the musical act before the live show (we were in the studio quite early!), then a short break of about 30 mins, then prerecord the results. The second time I went, they had moved on to doing a Sunday results show... prerecorded the pro dance and the music act before the live show, prerecord results and dance off (And asked us not to reveal the result 👀 ) It's a very long time since we managed to get tickets. The only people I know who've managed it recently have been guests of crew/contestants/judges/professionals. But it's a brilliant experience for anyone lucky enough to go!

Too much faffing abaht with Shayne obvs but I enjoyed the performance of his dance more. Also feels a little harsh to send him packing for his partner’s poor choreography choices. I think Punam had probably gone as far as she could, lovely though she is.

I think the thing that puts me off Shayne is the fact he so clearly wants to win. I think Kelvin had a little bit of that going on but was somehow more likeable (and a better dancer) so I could be more forgiving. Also had better biceps 👀 which helped.

I've been in the draw for every show for years and years - never managed to get tickets. I do get my weekly sorry message though.

I do hope Sam has to dance to ' shake it off.' The only Taylor Swift song I like !

They haven't done icons week before. I think they're doi g that because of the 20th anniversary of the show, so hopefully it's just a one off!

I don't think it will be Shake it off as she's already done Jive which fits it, and I can't think of any other dances that might go with it that she hasn't already done. Please not a 3rd couples choice!

I’m sick and tired of seeing the Samba virtually every week. I want to see more Waltz, quicksteps, Pasos, cha chas, tangos, AT, in fact anything other than the samba!
In no particular order the celebs I’ll like to leave next are:
Wynne- I love Katya but don’t think Wayne is good enough to win neither deserves to win.
Shayne- he seams a nice enough bloke but he isn’t my favourite.
JB- I don’t feel any connection to him and no loyalty to Amy either. She just isn’t one of my favourites. I don’t like her choreography.
Jamie- I don’t get the adoration. He is an actor so can act the character of any part he is given. I don’t watch Eastenders and as such feel no loyalty towards him.
Pete- I much prefer other pros to Jowita. I’ve never watched anything with Pete in and his ‘ I’m any ordinary guy I am,’ routine is starting to annoy me. No you are not. Accept you have been dealt a very lucky hand.
I’d like to see Chris, Sarah and Sam in the final.
Probably Sarah to win as she is the best dancer of the 3. I don’t care that she went to theatre school, she is amazing for a woman in her 50s.
l’ll admit my reason for wanting Sam to stay is purely down to my love for Nikita who is adorable.
As for Chris, well what can I say. Total legend.

I agree. It really feels to me that traditional ballroom dancing in traditional costumes is gradually disappearing from the show in an attempt to pander to younger audiences.

I think I am only going to vote for Sarah from now on ( maybe Montell occasionally) I want technical finesse from now onwards. I don't want lumbering or stomping or standing while the pro dances and performs gymnastics around you.

Women's Health are posting now that Lauren is temporarily stepping in for Amy this week. I'm not a huge fan of her and JB, but really hope she is ok. She has had it tough over the last year.

Oh, that's a shame about Amy and I do hope she's okay and can participate still in some way.

Lauren will probably be the best fit for JB though.
