There's an interesting article about Chris in today's Times. Unfortunately, online it's behind the usual Times pay wall - maybe someone here has a share token?
However, it does say (since some people here were wondering) that he's completely blind and has been since he was 22: "That was almost easier, he says, than the position he had been in his late teens when he still had a tantalising amount of sight left."

I see it's been confirmed that Lauren will dance with JB until Amy is better.

im wondering if thats why Lauren wasn't given a Celeb this year, just in case.

Oh that’s not good news about Amy but the main thing is her wellbeing. Maybe a week off will do her good. Let’s hope JB and Lauren dance well and win good scores/ votes.

On Saturday sam really reminded me of Kimberly from Girls Aloud.

She reminds me of Melanie Sykes.

She reminds me a little of a model/actress who back in the day used to be in a beer commercial for some Yorkshire beer (I think). The advert was all a bit chocolate sexy ad and then at the end she drank a good bit of beer, had a foam tache and said something like "By gum that's gorgeous." She went on to do lots of stuff, presenting, etc. I can't remember her name nor the beer she was advertising.

That's whose name I was trying to remember! She's gorgeous.

I'm glad Lauren's stepping in for at least training this week.

I've been worried about Amy taking part this year and hoping she hasn't rushed it for the sake of her job. I'm earlier in recovery than her, still having immunotherapy and recovering from major surgery and the thought of working as hard as she is in a few months gives me the fear. I changed my bed today and had to lie down on the newly made bed for half an hour to get over my exertion! I think it might do her good to have a week or two off. It's happened before so there's precedence.

It was Boddington's and it was Manchester not Yorkshire. My memory is to shite. They were great adverts.
