I've put a video on the video thread of a beardless Neil dancing the jive.

I like Tess, I think I'd struggle to look and speak naturally with somebody talking in my ear all the time. She's usually pretty good (aww-ing and we loved it aside!). I did think she looked a bit too thin in the pink dress last night, I normally think she looks good whatever (and sometimes despite!) they put her in, but I did notice it this week, especially her arm.

I think Tess and Claudia work really well as a team. It's great to see two women presenting such a big show.

I don’t like Neil and was not mad on Toyah, but I’m the same age as her and thought she had incredible energy.

This is totally off the point but I do miss watching Lilia dance. She was one of my all time favourites.

Glad toyah went, honestly she looked like a drunk staggering about the floor.
I don't mind Neil think he's quite funny but he just doesn't look "right" dancing,however he was OK in that pro dance, I think he suits the comedy routine best.
I find paul amusing and think it's time he was given a nice suit and some decent music..not his fault he's had three shit songs and outfits!

Yes I dislike all of the nasty comments about Tess. Hosting a live show, well at least one in front of a live audience, especially one like Strictly with so many differently people and elements to it, is incredibly hard. Much harder than people give her credit for.

I preferred the presenters when Bruce and Tess did it. Obviously no longer possible. Claudia annoys me

I think Tess is terrible. There are people who manage to present live entertainment shows naturally, with wit and spontaneity, reacting as the show unfolds. Tess is not only wooden but she often kills dead humorous moments or doesn't 'get' situations as they are happening. Live television is a skill and she doesn't have it. Shows like this are best presented by people with a bit of a comedy background; basically people who can think on their feet.

I agree, and I think her job is harder than she is sometimes given credit for. I thought Tess was wrong for her original role (now Claudia's), casual chat is not her thing. But in her current role she's absolutely fine, keeping things ticking along on schedule and smoothing through the transitions. Claudia is funny, they don't both need to be.

And Lauren. After seeing her live, beautiful, elegant dancer.

He's a 5x Latin dance champion though, do he's clearly a very accomplished dancer. I do wonder whether people look at him and think he's not very good! ( I include myself in this!)

They are doing Hips Don't Lie and he sang Whenever Wherever with gusto but it was incorrect

I think the funniest bit was when Claud asked him how the actual song goes he was all "Uhhhhh hips don't lie lalalalalalalala" and clearly had no clue.

Ah, just watched the beardless jive - it does take years off him. Reminds me a little bit of a young Rick Astley.

I still like Neil. He's done decent Xmas charlestons and jives. He did well with Alex (it was her who chose Sister Act tune not him). I think the eleven head snaps was an awful decision and the bucking bronco not much better, but I'm in the minority by preferring Toyah to Paul this week.
I'd like to see Neil with a ringer then if he still can't get the highest marks, let him go.

Did anyone watch Toyah on It Takes Two? What on earth did she mean when she said "if you want to avoid a dance off, get rid of Chris?"

I rewatched it a few times, drawn diagrams, written it down and acted it out with DH and i still don't understand!

I thought she was talking about the behind the scenes person at first..
The ones that also teach some of the dances.
Basically Chris fellow celeb is very popular so she was just saying you've got no chance if your up against him.
