I hope the horrible comments about Neil dies down, now that he's out of the competition.

Katya and Neil have always remained on friendly terms after they divorced, but even before then, I thought they were first and foremost business partners and probably still are!

For me it always seems like hes got fake teeth in. They don't quite fit.

At the end of the day Neil could have gone all out with Toyah, but I really feel he wasn't that into her. For whatever reason.

This is exactly it! It's like when he smiles or talks, he's trying to hold them in and he hunches everything up.

I suspect it's also because he reminds me of someone I disliked in the past but have now forgotten, but the memory lives on in Neil 😂

I agree. I always get the feeling with Claudia that she's one martini away from saying something inappropriate. I dont mind Tess lately. At least she's stopped saying ' well we all loved it' every 5 minutes after the judges have given their comments. She is a bit bland but that's her job. Not to contradict what the judges have said with inane platitudes like she used to.

I agree. I think it was more a visa scam than a marriage. Odd she's kept his surname. Maybe Russian names are a bit non u at the moment!

I think toyah going was the right call. She reminds me of Sonia/lulu type who take themselves very seriously.

Hard not to be cynical & think it was purely a marriage of convenience.
They certainly put a good professional front on. If it had been a 'true' for love marriage you'd think the fallout would have been much worse.

I thought that too. So was shocked he's got a baby and girlfriend now.

She's dreadful with the contestants though. When Punam was emotional after her amazing dance yesterday all Tess could say was her old favourite 'Ah, look at your little face'. Honestly, if I was Punam I'd have told her not to be so bloody patronising.

I love Claudia but she can be unpredictable. Lord only knows what she might say to the judges!

Yes, she’s a bit bonkers but that’s her appeal. Personally I’m a massive fan.

I’m a huge Claudia fan. I find her funny. I miss her Saturday morning show on R2.

I think that she and Tess make a good team. There’s a few things I’d change about SCD (results show broadcast on Saturdays, ditch musicals week) but not them.

The usual nasty comments about Tess and Neil remind me why I actually dislike these threads.

Neil and Katya definitely used to have being married as part of their "brand", unlike say Darren and Lilia where she still uses her maiden name professionally.

I've done a workshop with them and if I had to choose just one to go back to, I'd choose him over her. I found he seemed very relaxed teaching, but still explained everything very well. Katya was nice, and also a good teacher, but she made me nervous!

@TennisWithDeborah I agree, they work well together, and they seem to genuinely get along, there doesn't seem to be any underlying animosity or tension. They're so different, one is like a foil to the other, yin & yang, w/ contrasting hair to boot.

Tess, however seems so wooden on her own, as though she needs Claudia for support, whereas Claudia stands up on her own.

I wonder what Neil looks like minus the facial hair.

Don't forget all those disappointed with Toyahs performances she is 66 and has had a hip replacement and multiple surgery for spinal problems. So good for her even giving it a go I say.
As someone a similar age who is petite and reasonably fit but has also had joint surgery some days I wake up aching all over and can't imagine dancing so many hours a day!

@PolkadotsAndMoonbeams Reading your post, as someone who has real life experience with Neil amd Katya, makes a pleasant change from the nastiness about him.

I don't mind Tess either but I do agree that some of her phrases can be overused and patronising, like "your little face".

Loved spotting Vernon beaming proudly at her while she was doing her bit.

I loved Toyah when I was a child. But when I think back, her appeal was not that she was a great singer/ dancer!

I would have preferred Paul to go. I hope he's out next week.

Justice for Kai and Carlos. Bring them back next year.
