Who here will watch Philip fake cry and protest his innocence?! He did nothing wrong, did he?

Well we all really enjoyed it! He made us laugh a lot this evening.

It must’ve been an amazing experience.

I don’t really care if he’s vindicated or not. I don’t think there will ever be a place for him on TV again.

But this was an entertaining programme. 🤷‍♀️

I really enjoyed this programme, I’ve not thought too deeply about how he’s perceived, just easy tv to relax too,

Don't you have an opinion of him and what he's done?
If you think he's a wrong un, you wouldn't be able to watch it as easy relaxing tv!

LunaNorth · 03/10/2024 03:09

I can imagine Ant and Dec texting each other while watching it.

’Wtf?’
’Oh shiiit’
’I told you not to meet the twat for lunch! Now look!’

Not really, I’ve enough going on in my life to worry about what other people who I will never meet have done

This is such a puzzling attitude to me.

I've got plenty of shit going on - I still have an opinion on him.

So apparently this flopped (according to the ratings).

Monkeybutt1 · 03/10/2024 07:22

I watched it and enjoyed it. I don't think we will ever know the truth of what he did and I have no desire to, he's make mistakes 100%. Did he deserve his treatment, who knows. I'm not going to judge someone and write them off when I don't know all the facts and never will. People on here saying he's a nonce is disgraceful, there is no evidence of that.

lololulu · 03/10/2024 07:36

Has anything been proven? Has the man actually ever made a statement?

He kept saying he let himself and other people down. He hasn't mention the guy though had he?

It was too soon really and I think some people actively avoided it so as not to contribute to viewings. Give it another few years and people might have been curious, but he had to have his say now didn’t he.

No the young man hasn’t made any statement other than the official one from Philips lawyers

AskingQuestions45 · 03/10/2024 07:43

I watched it for a few minutes whilst changing channels.
Was disgusted by him.

He groomed a schoolboy, met him at school and then once the boy who he'd kept in touch with was old enough he gave him a job, he then started screwing this boy, who was young enough to be his grandson. Once he was done he discarded this boy like he was a piece of trash.
He also kept quiet about his pedophile brother, only speaking up when the police came knocking. So he's not technically a nonce, but I can see why he's been put in that camp. And even now he isn't concerned about the victims in this mess, he's worried about his reputation. He is gross.

Monkeybutt1 · 03/10/2024 08:01

I only work on facts and I don't think anyone can say he knew about and hid what his brother did as a 100% fact. I appreciate he met the guy when he was young and yes he did wrong and he abused his power but he's paid a high price. Is Cheryl cole for example much different, she met Liam when he was 14 and she was 24
I'm just trying to see it for what it is and now what the press tell us, we all know they like to manipulate the narrative to suit them.

LunaNorth · 03/10/2024 08:21

He’s nonce-adjacent. Bad enough.

His brother told him what he’d done and Philip just told him not to do it again, didn’t go to the police or anything.

cathyandclaire · 03/10/2024 08:56

Yes the facts about his brother were stated in court. PS knew and told him not to do it again.

I thought so! See, I adore my brother but if he disclosed something like that to me, I’d be starlight on to the police. I cannot understand how anyone is still defending Philip.

Anicecumberlandsausage · 03/10/2024 09:11

So I didn't miss much then. 🤣

AFAIK Cheryl didn't actively pursue Liam at age 14, she didn't fasttrack him to be an employee on a prestigious show, she didn't meet him for lunches when he was underage, she didn't additionally preach to the public about morality and similar issues while portraying herself as a happily married family woman.
