Who here will watch Philip fake cry and protest his innocence?! He did nothing wrong, did he?

I'm surprised that people think he came across "well".

He absolutely came across as selfish and entitled. He feels as though he's the victim and "the press" the villains. Total main character syndrome where everyone else is just a bit part in the story of Philip. Why on earth he has decided to do this is beyond me. Far better to just leave him on the island endlessly "presenting" into a camera with no-one watching.

Coming up next on Ch5 Huw Edwards on Survivor?

FuckThePoPo · 01/10/2024 08:34

Scummy melt he is

There's photos of them together at the stage school PS was patron of,if you care to do some research. He was a boy.

I'd love to know the runners story rather than his , but I suppose that will never happen.
I didn't watch this programme, but I might give it a go even though I've never liked PS and never watched This morning because him and Holly were just so fake.

We will never hear the other side because he has paid him off to keep quiet.

No they are right. There are pictures of them at the stage school together. It’s not fake news.

Didn’t they have the same lawyer releasing the statements?

Theycantallbecomspiracytheories · 01/10/2024 10:50

I’ve met his sidekick, also awful

Oh, so people watched it and think he came across well.

For information, he’ll have been coached a lot by his PR team as how to come over contrite, lacking in hubris and generally pitiful, but keen to move on. The Channel 5 documentary is designed so other channels will get wind of it and employ him again. He must be untouchable now, everyone will know and think what he’s done is appalling and wonder how many other young men has he done similar to.

Maybe ought to put him in big brother along with hue Edward’s , prince Andrew and a few others they can all think they have done nothing wrong apart from being caught
biggest echo chamber they will have ever been in

PrincessScarlett · 01/10/2024 14:28

I don't know why on earth he didn't just hold his hands up, say he was wrong and is sorry for the lies and hurt he's caused. But no, we get him ranting that he's the victim and was suicidal.

As much as I think he abused his position of power and groomed the runner which is despicable in itself, it is his spectacular arrogance and narcissistic attitude that makes him truly disgusting and beyond any sort of redemption. Whoever advised him to play it this way got it very very wrong.

He groomed a very junior member of staff on his show from that staff member being 15. He then had a sexual relationship with that person when they turned 18, behind his wife’s back. Apparently chewed the staff member up and spit him out after this. Massive abuse of his position on This Morning.

He has not acknowledged or shown any remorse for what he has done, only had a woe is me pity party.

Also messaging other young men/teenage boys on Snapchat as well as the whole sordid situation with his brother involved in sexually abusing a 13 year old (thought to be his own son) and Schofield knowing about it and saying don't do it again rather than dobbing him into the police. He is an absolute piece of shit.

Richard Osman and Marina Hyde talked about this today on The Rest is Entertainment podcast. Quite interesting. Got the impression there's more stuff both of them know about him (from being in the business) but couldn't say.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 01/10/2024 19:49

Eamon (sp?) Holmes had a rant about this on TV. I thought he was intimating that there was more that had gone on as well. I’d imagine several people in Tv know what’s been happening. Eamon Holmes worked on This Morning as well didn’t he and had a dislike of Scof which was well known.

It's like watching the Prince Andrew interview. He can not 'read the room'. He's a horrible little specimen- manipulative, disingenuous, offensive, self-pitying, embittered. Has just told the audience if they think he is bitter they can 'fuck right off because I don't give a toss.'
He seems to think people are with him in his feeling about how unfair it all is. He's whined continually about the Press and ex-colleagues, and painted himself repeatedly as a victim. Cries at the drop of a hat. Uses lots of hyperbole to emphasise points he wants us to understand about himself. There are lots of pointed stares to camera to emphasise his emotions.
I can't see this ending well for him. Has been badly advised.
I wasn't unsympathetic to him before I saw this. I am now.

Of course he was referencing Holly. I'm no real fan of hers anymore, used to quite like her, but after queue gate it was just no. However, after that rape and murder plot I do feel sorry for her and PS is a twat with what he is saying. I cringed inside out with the Are you ok? speech though.

LuluBlakey1 · 01/10/2024 21:52

I don't think there is a single genuine reaction to anything from him- everything is for drama and to create effect.

Oh I couldn't think of anything worse for my blood pressure than watching that self serving drivel. He's fucking unbelievable that man.

Same. I cant think of anything worse than watching his pathetic, "poor me" snivelling self justification.

It'll just be the usual self serving drivel about how nothing was his fault and how he is the "real" victim. vomit
