This looks like it will be good fun

It's all a bit Professor T so far. Which I love

Cynic17 · 25/09/2024 21:20

Loved it! First episode was very promising.

CwmYoy · 25/09/2024 21:50

Enjoying it so far.

WanOban · 25/09/2024 22:00

Loved it! So different and quirky compared to the usual programmes in this genre. I can see this being popular internationally as well due to the Cambridge setting. I think it will be a big hit for the BBC

Stropalotopus83 · 25/09/2024 22:03

Just binged the first four episodes and forced myself to turn it off so I can make it last a bit longer!! Really loving this!

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2024 22:03

I liked this , but the trailer for episode two gave a lot away.
David Mitchell was good as was the one who was in 'Mum' and Julia from motherland !
It reminded me of Jonathon creek and Colombo , strangely enough.

Excellent! I’m glad the next episodes are just as good. I will watch it at TV pace as there are only 6 episodes.

maudelovesharold · 25/09/2024 22:06

Really enjoyed it! Some stellar guests coming up - Felicity Kendall and Derek Jacobi!

moonlight1705 · 25/09/2024 22:07

Thought it was very well paced and had some lovely funny moments. Going to be enjoying it over the next few weeks.

DuncinToffee · 25/09/2024 22:08

I really enjoyed it too

Yes! Jonathan creek crossed with Columbo - googled JC and was shocked to realise it started 27 years ago eek!… there’s a similar vibe with Ludwig but the writing and acting is far superior.

Coruscations · 25/09/2024 22:12

I enjoyed that. I loved David Mitchell's matter-of-fact responses to the murderer's confession and all the emotional claims that they never meant it to happen etc.

Forced myself to stick to the first episode, but I'm looking forward to the rest.

Piggywaspushed · 25/09/2024 22:13

Since DH tuts whenever I point this out may I observe the obsessive teal colour palette?

6ixThirty · 25/09/2024 22:13

I really enjoyed the first episode! David Mitchell was excellent, as was Anna Maxwell Martin.
Looking forward to the next episode, may need to watch on iPlayer.

I was thinking that it was the same colour palette as The Following Has Been Based... (and Blue Lights). So teal!

honeyfox · 25/09/2024 22:24

Great, I just recorded it on Sky tonight after seeing him interviewed on the One Show!

Job lot from Habitat and B and Q.

Is it suitable for a 10 year old please?

TellyUsername · 25/09/2024 22:33

I've had to stop after episode 2. I can see myself watching them all and being sad there aren't any more!

I'm disappointed because when I saw this thread trending I thought it was in Baby Names, I came here for the fight!

But since I'm here I'll go and find that trailer...

So far, yes, I think. We loved it.

MeandBobbyMcGoo · 25/09/2024 22:50

Yes! I enjoyed the 1st episode, something different and not gory. Funny how we all seem to want to go with BBC1's pace rather than watching all at once.

Does anyone recognise the building which is used for the police station? I don’t think it’s in Cambridge so it would be kind if someone could locate it for me.

(The police station in Professor T is in Cambridge, it’s a Caius College building which seems to have been built with conferences in mind.)
