This looks like it will be good fun

The plots are a little weak and some bits are plain daft (the contact lens car parking, the sugar in coffee etc) but I'm enjoying it overall. I love the mid century modern settings and Lucy's house in particular, the mustard is lush!

Toddlerteaplease · 12/10/2024 06:39

I love it. But I do wish they'd put some lights on! No police office is going to be in darkness during the day!

Toddlerteaplease · 13/10/2024 21:39

So did James leave because the marriage was over? I couldn't work it out.

I didn’t get that, I think he’s left to keep them safe as opposed to constantly being on the ‘run’ like the partner who has left with his family .

6ixThirty · 14/10/2024 06:43

I didn't get why the baddies didn't go after John while he was pretending to be James.

There’s a lot of tv shows using teal colour for substituting whiter light. Very odd. Must be a filter

My husband is obsessed with pointing out the "orange and teal" colour palette in EVERYTHING 😂 he's not wrong, it's everywhere!!

Loved Ludwig. Can't wait for second series.

No. That was simply meant to lead John towards the bird book, without expressly saying so in case the phone call was monitored.

That's a very good point. @6ixThirty
But the whole premise requires suspension of disbelief Smile

A shameless resurrecting of a zombie 🧟 thread because it's only just got to Australia via Britbox as we can no longer get BBC iPlayer without a VPN.

I loved this, while, like PPs, eyeball rolled about the teal walls and dark police offices. But then I used to screech at Mulder and Scully "Turn the fucking lights on, ya morons" every single episode.
Henry's main purpose at first seemed to be to have to leave the room a lot so the grownups could talk, just like the kids in Corrie used to.

Looking forward to the new series.

musicalfrog · 20/05/2026 06:11

Happy for you @echt

But DAMN I thought a new series was incoming 😂

Coruscations · 20/05/2026 08:34

I keep seeing stuff on social media about a new series, so I really hope it won't be too long.

echt · 20/05/2026 09:33

Usually the ABC in Australia shows BBC programmes, but as there's no licence fee, and even a Labor government couldn't care less (as compared to the hostile Liberals AKA Tories), they are stuffed as they still refuse advertising.

Need to get that VPN....

I suspect S2 will be in september now. Not sure how the new police cast will work as I really liked the S1 dynamics but hopefully will be ok.
