Because I have never heard of a British woman in her 50s with a name like 'Greer'.

No but it’s also not inconsistent with the character that she could have changed it to something more fitting the image she was trying to convey. I bet her real name was Julie or Tracey.

But she was a British working class call girl trying to fit in with US high society in the Hamptons. As such Greer was actually quite a good choice of name.

The reveal at the end about how they met cracked me up not sure their sons really needed to know that! Some things best left unsaid!

I enjoyed it but it was very silly. I liked Greer's reveal at the end. Nicole Kidman was well suited to the part.
I watched the whole thing thinking no way would an author make that kind of money but then I Googled the richest authors and they do. Stephen King is worth $500 million.
Tag's glasses annoyed me the whole way through. They were too small for him.

Loved the show and all these comments. Yes it was cartoonish but loved it for that. I thought middle son was well cast - the golden boy. He was perhaps a little too cheerful at the end considering everything?!

I'm just watched episode 1 and although I like the aesthetics it just seems like this had been done a million times before??
Maybe it'll take a different turn in the next episode but if not then I won't be watching anymore.
