So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

I get so confused too

Sean lives in the flat that Paul's friend with MS lived in, she died and Aadi moved in with the older blonde woman who seduced him. He moved back home after he suffered carbon monoxide poisoning after fancy-woman returned to her husband so now Sean has the keys! (Hope they fixed the boiler)

I could have sworn Sean and Dylan lived where Lauren lived, but that wouldn't make sense as it was crime scene for a while.

So nobody moved into Laurens place? That would suit Alina and Tyrone Og.

Oh I hope they don’t split Tyrone and Fiz up again and he gets back with Alina

If Toyah had a haemorrhage where’s the blood transfusion? When it happened to me I was hooked up for 2 days.

Well that was a turn up for the books - Jenny, Glenda AND Gemma behind the bar in t'Rovers, and some gossiping locals the other side. There were even some extras in there and there was a bit of a buzz about it just like the old days.

So Kit’s lease is up and instead of renting another nice house he decides to rent grubby a room in a pub.

Leanne in yet another new outfit. But more importantly - behaving like a human being!

Toyah and Nick work well together. And to my surprise, so do Steve and Cassie. Ken’s pelvis seems to have recovered.

That’s two episodes in a row I’ve enjoyed. Corrie has a new producer, maybe she starting to have an effect.

Alina’s baby is the best actor in it at the moment! His reactions to the adult actors are brilliant - and he had lines (“he’s just being naughty”)! 👏👏

Isn’t Dorin adorable, he was such a natural with Alina and Tyrone, his interactions reminded me of ‘our Joshua’ and Fred in Classic.

Dorin really is cute, I hope he and Alina are round for a little while, although Tyrone doesn't really deserve it.

In Classic the Rovers is always full of locals casually interacting so I hope they are going to get back to that.

The question is...who is Nick going to choose?
Is Rowan going to go on some kind of revenge mission against Leanne...or possibly Aadi for putting Amy off investing in the Institute?

Really hope they don't drag out Steve and Cassie getting together...or at least going on a couple of official dates.

Nick's chat with David seemed weighted towards him choosing Leanne, and I am hoping that means he's going to choose Toyah! 😄

Rowan seems desperate for money and isn't getting it. I would suspect he will either just move on, or will be arrested for a previous fraud. Actually if Nick doesn't shell out, presumably he will tell Leanne about Nick and Toyah which will severely limit Nick's options!

The thing is, does he really have feelings for Toyah or is it because Leanne has got sucked into the Institute and he was seeing the old Leanne last night?

Yes, I agree. He said to David he saw again the woman he fell in love with. Would he really forgive her terrible behaviour so quickly? Nick has practically been a saint the way he's put up with her so I suppose he might (I hope not, it would be good to shake things up).

Cute little Dorin doesn't get his name in the credits.

Is that an age thing or a parental choice type of thing ?

Re Leanne and Toyah. Wasn’t it Toyah who said she didn’t want Leanne involved in her cancer treatment. Why are the writers having Leanne feel guilty.

Toyah doesn’t look that enamoured with Nicks declaration of love

I'm quite enjoying Nick going a bit soppy over Toyah, never thought him much of an actor but I do find him more believable with Toyah rather than Leanne.

Spider is Toyahs one true love in his nice hairy jumpers.

Where is Spider? Did he leave again and I’ve not noticed?

Rowan is horrible. I think Spider went away to be undercover elsewhere and Toyah didn't go with him.
