So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

What else?

I think Kit plans to arrest the t-shirt guy, he made sure that Beth is out of the picture for Craig's sake I think. I don't like Dee Dee and Joel together at all (lucky it won't last) she is different around him, not her usual strong, clever self but naive and a bit silly.

@DumbassHamsterSitterPerson I came here to say the same thing - Hope looks just like a younger fizz. Even has the same mannerisms!

@Bignanna - I don't think he knew until he saw Swain making Betsy get into her car outside The Kanin the other day. I could (very possibly!) be wrong!

Thought there was some proper chemistry between Mason & Betsy, two good young actors.

Where does our Craigy live? He used to share with Faye and Emma in a flat, furs he live there alone now? How does he afford it? Maybe Kit will move in and share with him - no character lives away from the street for long (apart from Audrey in Grassmere Drive of course!).

Still no Adam, Faniel, Gail, Daisy, Ryan, Jenny.

That's a good point, but Police officers are quite well paid so I expect Craigie can afford to rent the flat by himself now.

Don't like the way the Betsy & Mason storyline is playing out. She's very sassy but if this was real life he would probably end up hurting her when she eventually refuses to do his bidding... Which I'm sure will happen.

But at the moment he's doing everything she says! Yes, good acting there.

I agree Mason and Betsy work well together. I can't decide if they are trying to rehab Mason, one minute they are and the next they aren't. I don't care enough yet though.

After saying we never see inside the salon any more, we finally had a scene in there!

Why didn’t she arrest her daughter for shoplifting. Come on Swain rules are rules. There can’t be one for everyone else and a different one for yours.

Can’t believe how trusting DeeDee is of Joel.
I mean, he might as well have a great big sign on his head saying ‘I’m up to no good’ -
but love is blind as they say.

Can’t they have any young girls on Corrie that are actually nice? There are so many cocky, arrogant, entitled bad ‘uns on there!

Where is Bethany at the moment? I thought she was suspicious of Joel but she has suddenly disappeared. Or have I missed a few episodes during the Euros.

Bethany (for no apparent reason) stopped being suspicious of Joel a while ago, and she got together with DeeDee and Joel to track down Lauren. That might have been during the Euros.

Deedee could do much better for herself than Joel and his mean little mouth.

And his amazing casual wear!! She is always dressed so nicely.

Where are Dylan and his dad living? I didn't recognise that flat. Dylan is losing his 1960s kitchen sink drama look.

Did they take Laurens flat?
Id love to see Deedee in her wedding dress but know there will be tears 😭 She will have to go and see her mum.

Do you know what I totally forgot about Bethany. There’s a few that haven’t been in it for a while, isn’t there.
Ken, Steve, Daniel, Sarah, Audrey, Jenny, Daisy and I’ve not seen Gail for God knows how long.

Isn’t it the flat Aadi had for a while?

What happened to the brother and sister...he was in prison with Max and she was Maxs girlfriend? Or did i imagine them?

Sabrina and her brother Gav. I liked Gav, he was quite witty. Another pair of characters disappeared into the flats at the precinct, rarely seen!

Sabrina appeared briefly a few weeks ago, being chatted up by Joel. Not seen the brother for ages, though.

Sabrina and Max were on and off so many times I lost track, but presumably they are off because Sabrina has only been glimpsed once in months. Then again Jenny has only been glimpsed once lately and she runs the Rovers.

Max and Lauren will end up together again and live happily ever after.
Trying to think of someone for DeeDee. ( after the inevitable break up with Joel ) I always suspected a little spark between her and Adam. I think they’d be good together.

Have you also noticed that Leanne never wears the same clothes twice? She must have an enormous spare room to keep them all in. Everything looks brand new. Toyah is going that way now too.

Toyah's fingers annoy me, what is it with wearing rings on the top bit of her fingers, are they too small to go all the way down or is it more normal than I think it is.

Amy, Asha, Summer and Nina are alright.

Anyone else feel bad for the actual client during that scene where Fizz walked in and Maria stopped what she was doing to make her a cuppa and talk about Alina?? Was she just left sitting in the chair with her wee cape on? Don't even know if Maria even got started on her hair as it still looked dry, yet she was sitting at the sink...Audrey won't be happy losing another client!
