So, currently broadcast (and just caught up with) Friday 2nd August. Recap:

Lauren - given birth to baby boy at 24 weeks after Joel hid labour inducing drugs in her soup
Jack - been charged with arson with intent to endanger life (Hope seemed pleased!)
Paul - going to donate his corneas to MND research, much to Bernie's dismay
Beth - lost box of fake t-shirts and told Carla where to stuff her job

Yes Todd is unlike most other Corrie actors. No shouty exaggerated bollocks. He just seems to get it right every time and doesn't appear to demand centre stage the way others do 🙄

He may have been a bad lad in the past one way or another (I really can't recall) but he'd better stick around as I love scenes he's in.

Yes he was. He played Andy Butcher. Met and married Stacey but it was quite late on. I don’t think I he overlapped with Dave and Paddy.

Dr Gaddas asking Fizz if she had an active sex life was a bit much !

Yes, surely she'd have just said "Could you be pregnant? " !

Surely she’d just ask when her last period was. And as if Fiz didn’t even consider she could be pregnant with her symptoms.

I can't recall the connection - how are Fizz or Tyrone related to Paul?

Paul was Gemma's twin. Gemma is married to Fiz's brother, Chesney.

Everyone is related on the street.
Some male writer possibly thought a doctor would ask that strange question instead of an obvious could you be pregnant.
Dr Gadass should hang out with Carla and Swain.

I thought Gadass looked a bit gleeful when she asked Fizz about her sex life, she was just short of rubbing her hands together.

That was nasty of Bernie. She's behaved terribly.

It was bound to come out, otherwise the writers could have added the drama of his death but had Billy make it in time.

Some of the medication i take absolutely cannot be taken during pregnancy. Everytime I have a mens review the nurse asks me "Is there any chance you could be pregnant?"
He has never asked me about my sex life. Which is totally non existent!

But his overalls are always spotless!
My DS2 was a motor mechanic and his overalls were always covered in grease.He knew better than to sit down anywhere than his garage.When he had to drive a customer's car he always covered the seat with newspaper, something all mechanics do.
But on Corrie of course....

It is a spotlessly clean garage. Abi always has perfect hair and a manicure.

Drunk Billy got on my nerves.

Why did they all stand around not seeming to know who was going to be a pall bearer?

Did think it was weird that they didn't seem to have discussed carrying the coffin, or the awkward fact that Kit is about 8 miles taller than anyone else, before hand.

Don't think Bernie wearing trainers is odd at all, her sense of style is... non-existant and shes comfort over style every time. Absolutely bang on for that character.

I thought it was out of character for her to blurt out that Paul had already died and bloody annoying that no one seems to be aware (and Billy certainly should be, as should Todd actually) that after that last breath, it is likely people can hear things for a fair while (in terms of minutes obvs, not hours!).

Drunken Billy is as irritating as hand wringing Billy, over protective Billy, helpful Billy and well... any day of the bloody week Billy. Can manage him in small doses but recently its been very Billy heavy and im really wondering why anyone thinks he's such a bloody prize!

DS Swain is in nearly every scene!
I reckon she and Carla will get together.

There's been a few doeful looks between them, so I reckon that's where it'll go. Carla's had a gay relationship before, hasn't she?

I understand if fizz doesn’t keep the baby however, unless they have some hidden debt they should be bringing in at least 2500 a month with no mortgage. I’m sick of her banging on about money. Why don’t they go to b and m and sodding decorate or do something with that house it always looks so messy.

I thought Carla had had a ONS withs woman once....but now I have remembered...it was Tracey !

I think poor Bernie is heading for a troubled time with her grief.

Yes I think everyone has forgotten that Bernie lost Paul as well, they’re all concentrating on Billy

Couldn’t believe the way the entire pub was totally silent and just staring at Billy. Like no one’s ever had one too many after a funeral.
i mean, it’s not like he’s never been seen drunk before. Only a couple of weeks ago he went out and got totally smashed.
