Anyone else watching? It’s all kicking off at 6:30pm, apparently with the athletes parade first.

London 2012 OC was remarkable, I’m hoping the French can match that magic!

It’s pretty awful though. Yes, the weather isn’t helping but there is no atmosphere, the sound is dreadful, it’s clearly not been rehearsed. Singers are miming and the whole thing is extremely slow. It’s been a mistake doing it on the river.

They're not playing all the way through the animation on the right which is a bit annoying, so you can't read the whole thing. Poor timing.

I was wanting to enjoying it but I'm finding it underwhelming. I'm off to re-watch Sprint on Netflix to watch the drama of some of the potential track stars. I love the Olympics but I'd prefer something that builds the excitement of the arena.
