@Strathfan I've been asking myself that more and more as the series go on. It has changed a great deal and I'm not sure it is worth watching anymore. MIC has gone the same way for me too.

Dyslexia has nothing to do with general or emotional intelligence.

Normally if you receive even 1 vote you get put up for a public vote rather than the couple with the most votes being dumped

And yeah they’ve definitely did the couples vote in previous seasons. Joey /Sean aren’t those couples biggest fans either - so equally you could say it’s “problematic” for them too.

That’s just the way the cookie crumbles, Love island is obviously not just about if the couples get along or even the public vote it’s also often down to the islanders. So piss your fellow islanders off at your own risk Joey. 😆

For me, he comes off as self obsessed, totally lacking in humility or empathy, he has no listening skills, he is only interested in how things relate to him, he is manipulative, unkind, bitchy and vengeful with a very fragile ego. He likes to dish it out for attention but can’t cope with any criticism of him.

Additionally, he comes off as a misogynistic, racist, ill informed sociopath.

Also agree that being thick as shit has nothing to do with dyslexia. He has made millions off his know nothing persona and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is actually smarter than he likes to act.

I really think (hope) that he’s ended his z list “career” as a result of his behaviour on LI.

I have been watching LI for about 6 years but don’t think I’ll bother again. It’s become ridiculously staged and was much better when it was unknown people with more everyday lives. Now it’s mostly influencers with stuff to plug and hawk.

I wasn’t even aware he struggled with being able to tell the time or that he is dyslexic. I actually didn’t know who he was until Love island so I’m only basing it on what I’ve seen of him in LI. I actually think he more or less admitted he was stupid when he first entered the villa …something about he just embraces it and uses it to his advantage.

@Strathfan nailed it. What’s also annoying about him (and Sean) is they think they’re so cunning when everyone can see through them 🙄

And btw I have diagnosed dyspraxia and dysgraphia and quite possibly dyslexia too.
Deliberately muddling the issue of someone being clearly unintelligent and a bully, with having dyslexia is offensive to dyslexics when no-one has implied that’s why we think he’s thick.

They are two completely separate things so let’s move on from that, as I think we are all agreed here that dyslexia isn’t synonymous with being stupid or unpleasant.
